Until We Found You | Part V
Part V is finally out!! I enjoyed writing this one a lot! I still have some more chapters in mind, especially for the big reveal. Not sure how many I can write out, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon.  Sorry it’s a bit short this time! The next part is going to be longer. As usual, heed the tags

“Don’t you know the trope of never having sex in horror films?” The other line asked you, making you laugh, “you didn’t kill me the first time, why would it be any different now?” You asked as you sat out on your front porch, taking a seat on the bench outside. “What if someone else made you star in their movie, huh? Wouldn’t you be part of their film instead,” they said as you laughed, “yeah, but then it could be some big cross over. Like alien versus predator or king kong and Godzilla, I would kinda like to see that, my two boys fighting for protecting me.” You teased as they chuckled.
“I heard you wanted both of us there tonight,” they hummed, making you smile, “so you’re the one who makes the calls?” you asked before continuing, “I want you both here…alongside a new lingerie outfit too, you boys are really racking up a total. You two should take me shopping sometime.” You suggested playfully, wishing that you could go out in public with the two. “Maybe someday,” they said, sounding a little more somber now. “Will you two ever let me know who you are?” You asked, it had been on your mind lately, but the silence gave you your answer. “I guess you still can’t trust me, huh? It’s fine, I’ll find a way to prove it to you two.” You said, hearing another phone call coming in. “I have to let you go now, one of my friends is calling, I’ll see you two tonight, right?” You questioned, “we’ll be a little later tonight but don’t worry, we’ll be there.” They promised you before hanging up. Y
ou smiled, answering the new call coming in. “Hey! Me and Stu were gonna head out for lunch soon, did you wanna join? Sid’s gonna call Billy to see if he wanted to go,” Tatum’s voice said, you debated for a moment before agreeing. “Great! Me and Stu will pick you up, we can pick up Randy too afterwards,” she said as you hummed. “Sounds good, I’ll get ready now,” You said, hanging up after saying goodbye. Your eyes lingered out into the street, you couldn’t help but feel as if there was someone watching you, wondering if your secret stalker was watching over you right now. Part of you wished they’d just come out and reveal themselves to you, pull off their mask and show you their faces. You let out a sigh, getting up from the bench and heading back inside the house to get ready.By the time Stu’s car pulled up to your driveway you were ready, hair and outfit finished along with just the right amount of makeup for you.
You could hear the music playing from outside, wondering at which point in time Stu would finally lose his hearing, you gave him another 10 good years. You texted your parents that you were going out with your group again, promising them to be home before curfew. Curfew had bummed you out recently, you made a mental note to tell your masked killers that you were mad at them for making Woodsboro go under a curfew, everything sucked now that nothing was open past 6. “Hey Macher, calm it with the stereo,” you said as Stu chuckled, “can’t help it, I like making my presence known,” he said as he turned up the music louder. You rolled your eyes, chatting with Tatum as you all headed to pick up the others.
Sid and Billy met you at the restaurant, already sitting down at a booth when you all arrived. It was about an hour later, everyone finished with their food and just spending time chatting about whatever came up. “Did you guys hear about Oliver?” Randy asked as Tatum nodded, “Dewey said it was even worse than Casey and Steve, said you couldn’t recognize him at all,” she added in as your eyebrows furrowed. “Sid said the neighbors tried getting the killer, did Dewey say anything about that?” You questioned as Tatum shook her head, “no, he said the neighbor tried to shoot at them but they missed. Said they took off into the woods,” she said, you growing worried if they had been hurt. They didn’t mention anything on the phone so you assumed they weren’t, making you relax a bit. “Maybe it was your mystery date,” Randy teased, making you glare at him, “I mean we were talking about him yesterday, maybe your boyfriend got mad about him and decided to off him as some romantic present,” he added as you laughed. “Right, cause I totally want to be an accomplice,” you joked as you rolled your eyes, but you did wonder if that was true.
Oliver had bullied others as well, so you didn’t put it past them to have also been one of his victims. Though, the thought that they did it for you made your heart beat faster. “I think you cracked the code Meeks,” Billy teased, noticing your reddening cheeks, “are you all forgetting she was almost killed by them?” Sidney brought up as Stu hummed, “well she is still alive, maybe Randy was right with them doing it to cover up their tracks,” he said as you scoffed. “Can you jackasses back off before I take my turn at you?” You said jokingly, waving the butterknife on your plate around playfully.
Later that night you sat in bed, rewatching the Texas Chainsaw Massacre on your laptop with Irena purring and fast asleep on your lap. You snacked on some popcorn as you watched the movie, looking to your side as you saw Tatum calling you. You hit pause on the movie and answered as you ate another piece of popcorn, “whats up, Tate?” You asked as she quickly spoke, “holy shit! They almost got the killer!” she yelled into the phone, making you sit up. “What?” You questioned as she laughed. “The killer! They were going after some of Oliver’s friends. They were having a celebration for him and one of the guys actually fucking stabbed them! Dewey said they were chasing them down but lost them a few moments ago, they said the police are gonna be waiting at the hospital incase anyone comes in with a stab wound,” she said, you carefully moved Irena off your lap and set your laptop on your vanity as you looked out your window. You could see the black outfit moving and struggling to climb up, “shit, that’s awesome Tate, let me know if Dewey calls you again, I’m gonna go tell my parents,” You spoke, hanging up the phone and putting it down as you pushed your window open.
“Seriously? Going after the whole fucking football team?” You asked angrily, putting your hand out to help them inside. You shut the window after they got in, seeing them collapse onto the floor. “Shit, hold on,” You said as you rushed to your bathroom, grabbing the first aid kit and rushing back to their side. You were about to lift up the robe before they grabbed your wrist, pushing your hand away. You felt a little hurt that they still didn’t trust you, but pointed in the direction of the restroom. “You can patch yourself up in there, my friend said the police are going to be at the hospital, you can’t go,” you said, seeing the flashing of police lights pass by outside. “Is the other one okay?” You questioned them, getting a nod as they hubbled to the bathroom. After half an hour they emerged from the bathroom, taking a seat on your desk chair. “Are you okay? Did the bleeding stop?” You fretted over them, getting a nod as they motioned you over. They grabbed your wrist, holding your hand up to their chest so you could feel their steady heartbeat. You relaxed before pushing on their chest, huffing at them. “The whole fucking football team, you’re actually fucking crazy,” you huffed out before gently rubbing where you had pushed them. “The other one, he got away okay?” You asked, smiling when you got another nod. “You can stay as long as you need tonight, the police are probably out searching for you,” you said, sighing softly as you looked to them. “Don’t think I forgot about that lingerie set either, it was pretty expensive,” you said jokingly, earning a laugh from behind their mask. “I’m gonna head to bed, I have an exam tomorrow,” you said, giving a little kiss to their mask. “If you wanna join at least take off your clothes, I won’t look, I promise. You can even blindfold me if you don’t trust me,” you offered, heading to bed. They followed after you, you laid down and closed your eyes, facing them so they could see that you weren’t looking. They began to shuffle out of the costume, going to your door and locking it before heading back to your bed. They laid down behind you, wrapping their arms around you and holding you close.
You fell asleep easily in their hold, relaxing in their arms throughout the night. A few hours later you woke up to muffled voices in the bathroom, you sat up and rubbed your eyes as you looked to see the morning sunlight lighting up your room. “I’m fine, just spent the night at her place,” you heard coming from the bathroom, your groggy mind a bit too slow to recognize they weren’t using the voice changer. You did your best to not pay attention, not wanting to betray their trust by finding out who they were too soon. You laid down again, closing your eyes when you heard the door open. You felt their hand tracing your face before they planted little kisses on your cheeks before planting a soft and loving one to your lips. They pulled away and pulled the mask on before tapping you, you pretended to stir awake, blinking up at them. “You’re leaving?” You asked as they nodded, “be safe, okay? I would rather prefer finding out who you are when you trust me and not through some Gale Weathers interview,” you said as you leaned up, planting a little kiss on their mask just like last night. “Be safe, both of you,” you said as they nodded and began to climb out your window.
An hour later Tatum came to pick you up in her little red beetle, driving both of you to class. You met up with Sid and Stu, who had his arm wrapped around Tatum. “Where’s Billy at today?” Tatum asked as Sid sighed, “said he came down with a major stomach bug. He said he was sick all night and didn’t even sleep, his dad told him to head to the doctor instead of class,” she said as you turned towards Sidney. Stu became aware of your glance at her, his eyes widening in surprise when you made eye contact with him.

January 22: Secret Obsession
Last night I watched the movie Secret Obsession on Netflix because I wanted to watch something simple and genre heavy and maybe a little trashy--and it was perfect for scratching that itch. Afterward, I read some reviews of it, because I felt like part of the pleasure of this sort of media is reading other people being incensed/feeling smart about catching plot holes. NPR did a pretty great skewering. In general, though, I feel like reviews or reactions that are really mad miss the point. It's light viewing. It's simple in its plot and over the top in its emotions, it's obvious, it's predictable, it's stylized, it's genre heavy. It is, in a weird way, comfort viewing.
So, it doesn't feel particularly useful to me to point out plot holes. We're in Cinematic Amnesia territory folks: it's not going to make sense. And large holes like 'why didn't anyone care to investigate these four other mysterious deaths' and 'why doesn't this woman have any other friends or family looking for her' seem to entirely miss the point, in my opinion. Because that would make the plot too complex. Also, this is nominally a thriller but really it's more an exaggerated abuse horror story: the villain has all the attributes of many real life domestic abusers (isolating his victim, lying to her or even gaslighting her, being nice/sweet/romantic and then physically abusive in turn, etc.) but he's doing everything on a grand scale. She's not just separated from her family; they're dead. The abuser isn't just hiding aspects of his personalty, he's straight up created a new identity. The isolation involves a house in the mountains, a sabotaged cell phone and internet, and her own physical disabilities following her accident. It's all turned up to 11. That's the whole point.
That said, I had some suggestions for improvement.
First, I would cut the detective's missing daughter story line. I get that the point was to give him more substance and character, and a sort of personal stake in the whole proceeding. But there are really only 3 characters of any worth in the whole film, they are all archetypes, and he's one of the three. We care about him because he's The Detective. We know who he is because he's The Detective. And he's invested in the case because, duh, it's job. It seems more weird that other people AREN'T invested in it tbh. Further, that saving Jennifer would allow him to let go of his unfinished business with his own lost daughter doesn't gel. I know the idea is that Jennifer is like a surrogate or metaphorical daughter, and that saving her is like 'saving' his real daughter, but it just doesn't work. First, they don't know each other and we really only see one scene of them together, at the very end. It's not believable that he has a personal stake in her even by the transitive property. Second, she has no attributes similar to that of his daughter. Maybe she is now the age his daughter would have been, but that's never made clear. All we know is his daughter was 10. Jennifer is an adult. Third, though details are spare as to what happened to the daughter, there's no reason to believe it was a similar situation to Jennifer's--in fact, it couldn't have been so similar, since Jennifer's kidnapper fake-married her. Pretty sure that didn't happen with the 10 year old girl. I got the impression hers was a straightforward kidnapping, but Jennifer's situation really wasn't a straightforward kidnapping. You have to squint to see the parallels. Basically, if you're not going to really do the parallel or really dive into the trauma, just don't do it. Even I have limits on how half-assed something can be even in a film like this before I get annoyed with it.
Second, and speaking of half-assed, I would cut the nameless red herring guy. He's so obviously here to misdirect the audience away from the husband, but, look, if you've watched the trailer you know the fake husband is the villain, and even if you haven't....the fake husband is obviously the villain. If you're going to misdirect with someone else, at least give him.... a name, some sort of actual non-creepy reason for involving himself in this, some sort of backstory or something. Also, I think there are other ways to bring into the plot or otherwise resolve the elements he does, or tries to, provide. For example, his murder shows off fake Russell's rage. But I think this rage would be better showed slipping through the cracks with Jennifer on a day to day basis. We have that one scene where he gets mad when she won't have sex with him, and of course she's unnerved by the degree of isolation she's experiencing, but other than that he goes from Doting Husband to Violent Killer with almost no warning. The audience doesn't need to see him kill some other guy because we've already basically guessed he's the guy from the intro--we've seen his murderous rage already. And Jennifer doesn't see him commit that murder, so it has no effect on her.
The red herring's body is something creepy for Jenifer to trip over late, but I would have that be the body of her actual husband--way creepier and more distressing imo.
And finally, we need a red herring weirdo because the intro tells us that Jennifer became injured when she was running from someone--begging the question of who she was running from. Again, this is obviously the fake husband but if we're pretending we don't all already know that, there has to be another suspect. This can be solved by starting the action later.
My third suggestion is, then, start the action later. I rad one review that suggested it start after her stay in the hospital. I disagree with this. Her time recovering in the hospital shows off the nice guy/no red flags side of Fake Russell. It also explains why she might "remember" him as her husband or have fond associations with him. This is the courtship period. It's what built trust between them and what adds to his betrayal later. So I would include that sequence. But I would not include the circumstances of the accident. I'd either start it with her running into the road or, even better, arriving at the hospital. We'd hear random shouts about what happened, car accident, etc., but it would be as confusing to us as to Jennifer. There's a mystery there and an implied villain, but there's a lot going on. Best not to think about it. Then the flashbacks she has to someone attacking her would be more startling, and would mean the same thing to the audience as to the protagonist--a good place to be. Slowly, she and we would recognize BOTH that something very sinister caused her accident AND that her husband is not who he seems.
Finally, and this was also a suggestion from some reviews, it would have been more interesting to have Fake Russell set up the whole thing, to have planned the accident in order to confuse Jennifer, and make her physically reliant on him, so that he could make her his isolated mountain wife. Would this be realistic? No, but what else in this film is? And which is worse: he thought he'd just kill her, but then she gets into an accident instead, so he swiftly pivots his whole plan to show up to the hospital and claim to be her husband, having no idea that she isn't perfectly lucid and able to identify him as not her husband, or that he somehow planned her accident figuring that if she didn't get amnesia, she'd at least be in enough pain and disorientation to be gaslit into believing she just "forgot" him even if she absolutely did not? I mean, both unbelievable, but the second is way more sinister, which is what we're going for with villains in this particular genre, and also... out there in a more satisfying way. Like, he lucked into this wild and wacky evil plan, or he created a wild and wacky evil plan? If I'm suspending disbelief I want to suspend it for a villain worthy of the effort.
Also, while I assume the photoshopped images were for his own personal enjoyment, it would explain more neatly why he had them all set and ready to go when he walked into the hospital.
Anyway, not that this film was worth that much thought but I did have the thoughts, so. I enjoyed it. It was what it said on the tin, and that's what I wanted to watch.

It unnerved them. It unnerved them a lot.
The fact that such a young child was in the clutches of HYDRA. Born and raised. Nothing but an experiment for them to use.
The only grant of normalcy was the stuffed animal she kept in her clutches.
She held onto that thing like it was her saving grace; in a way, it was. It was the only thing she had. The only semblance of comfort she had ever received. It stuck with her through thick and thin. Every night upon returning to her cell she would hold it tight against her lacerated skin.
It was sad, really. The poor little thing clinging onto her stuffed animal, refusing to let go—almost as if somehow it would rescue her from any danger she may encounter. Even though the creature was mangled beyond recognition, matted with blood and heaven only knows what else, she never let it out of her sight.
The Avengers shared their worries about the item. Steve and Wanda even tried to offer the girl a new one. That only led to her clutching it tighter and avoiding them so her stuffie didn’t get taken away.
There was no separating her from it.
“We have to at least wash the damn thing,” Tony grumbles, still convinced that thing is going to give someone a disease.
“She won’t let us even touch it, Stark,” Sam deadpans. “How are we supposed to get it away from her to last an entire cycle?”
“We could just wash it once she falls asleep,” Natasha suggests, taking a sip of water afterwards.
Steve shrugs, “sounds like a good enough idea. She barely moves when she hears us talking, so I’m sure she won’t even notice it being gone.”
It is movie night with the team again. This is the second time they did it with her and her Teddy. Last time Steve had to carry her sleeping figure to bed. They can only hope for the same outcome.
Much to the team’s relief, she had fallen asleep halfway through Moana.
Steve gently pried the plushie from her grasp. He silently made his way to the laundry room as the other team members left to go to bed. Putting the wash on a gentle cycle, he sighs. He’s glad that’s taken care of.
Rubbing her eyes, she takes a while to come to. The first thing she notes is that she is alone. The second thing she notes is that the television has been turned off. Yawning, she reaches down for her teddy.
Breath stopping, she frantically whips her head around. It must have fallen onto the ground. No. Maybe someone accidentally kicked it under the couch? Nope. It could have fallen in between the cushions. Yet again, her search is fruitless.
Tears welling up in her eyes, she stumbles into the kitchen. Maybe she accidentally left it here when she was watching the popcorn maker with wide-eyed fascination.
It’s nowhere to be seen.
Continuing to shuffle around the common floor, she searches for her companion. She accidentally bumps into Steve at the door to the laundry room. Shocked to see her awake, he moves his body to block her from entering the room.
Eyes squinting, she swiftly slips past his large figure to enter the laundry room.
To her horror, she finds her best friend. The stuffie is being submerged under water spinning slowly around and around and around. She can make eye contact through the clear surface blocking her from reaching it.
Collapsing to the harsh tile of the floor, she sobs. Her pleading voice sends a sharp pain through Steve’s heart. She almost has him crying too.
“Please! No! Stop hurting Teddy! She can’t breathe. Please, stop hurting her! She doesn’t deserve it—I do! Please I’ll do anything, just–just stop hurting her!”
“Sweetheart, I just-”
“-if you wanna drown someone, do it to me! She didn’t do anything wrong!”
Steve has to stop the cycle, pulling the soaking wet toy out. He couldn’t stand having to see her cry—especially because of him. Before he can even attempt to dry it, she snatches it away from him and runs.
Steve can’t even find it in him to complain about the massive trail of water she leaves behind.

Shinigami Eyes (II)
Pairing: Corpse Husband / Reader
Summary: After you distastefully kill Corpse in a game of Among Us, he wants you to make it up to him and invites you to come over for the week.
Notes: Thank you so much for the love on the previous chapter, I’ve never gotten this many notes before. I hope you enjoy, and maybe leave an ask if you want to? I can’t promise I have time to do them, but I’ll pick out a couple.
Also, I might rewrite this. I kinda rushed it because I wanted to finish it by tonight, but there will be a final and third chapter to this afterwards. Please do let me know what you think.

Shinigami Eyes - Pt. II
5… 4… 3… 2… 1…
Impostor
You were teamed up with Sean.
Your fist violently slammed down on the desk. “Goddammit! I don’t want to be impostor anymore! This game has no compassion for my poor nerves.” It was the third time in a row now, and you were really craving to do normal tasks now without all the scheming. “Fuck it, I don’t care if they kill me. I’m just gonna do my thing without thinking about it.”
You decide to follow Toast for a bit to watch him do some task. You kill him in Laboratory. You vent back to Launchpad and take your time walking towards MedBay while the kill button restores. You meet up with Corpse, and follow him while pretending to do wires in the Y-hallway. You watched the green bar go up, and continued. Sabotaging and then fixing lights, you made sure your place with Corpse was settled. Then the body of Lily was reported.
As you expected, Corpse easily vouched for you as he’d seen you do a task. The round was skipped, though Rae was sussed for ‘chasing’ Sean, by his own words.
“Corpse, you’ve grown weak,” you muttered to chat.
You were in Greenhouse, and decided it would be best to kill him there and sabotage Reactor. “Sorry baby, but I can’t keep following you around.” You quickly set off Reactor and murdered him in front of the plants. “Your blood shall keep the plants hydrated.” You did an evil laugh. “Pretty sure that’s not how it works, though.”
You vented down to MedBay and as you walked out you met up with Rae. She’d be the vouch who would confirm you weren’t anywhere near Greenhouse. “I’ll just have to fix my own sabotage so they’ll never suspect me.” You helped her with the handprint, and noted Sykkuno and Felix being there. Sean sabotaged lights, you killed Sykkuno, and ran out to follow Lily into Laboratory. Felix reported the body.
“Holy shit,” Rae gasped. So far, five people had died. You only needed to kill one more person. “It was Felix!”
“Wait, what?” the man in question asked. “I was fixing Reactor!”
She mentioned that only you, Sykkuno, Felix and herself had been there and that you’d helped her do handprint. “Sykkuno must have fixed it, and then you killed him!”
Sean asked if you’d seen anything.
“No, the lights were out. I followed Rae into Laboratory after the scan.” Your voice didn’t tremble or raise, a tactic you’d taken up from the best lair in the group. Well, the one who was now dead. Oops. “I haven’t seen Felix this entire game, though.”
He was evidently at a loss for words, so the group was quick to vote for him.
Pewds was ejected.
Victory.
You thanked Sean for a good game who was laughing his ass off. “I can’t believe you did Corpse like that! Poor guy!”
“I deadass thought you were innocent,” Corpse replied, “I’m hurt.”
“Why do you still sound dark and menacing when you say something like that?!”
You agreed with Sean heartily, “He’s just salty I’ve bested him at his own game.”
“Hey now, no need to actually insult me.”
The group laughed. You decided to call it for the night, right before Corpse did the same.”
 ***
He was calling you again. “What is it this time, you salty?”
“Salty? Nah, never,” he said, but you weren’t convinced.
“Then why you calling?”
“What, I can’t call my friends after playing a nice round of Among Us?”
“Not when you lost the game and you call the person who you lost to. Kinda sus, dude.”
“Alright, maybe a little salty.” You smirked.
“Aw, you need me to make it up to you?”
He laughed. “What did you have in mind?”
A bunch of thoughts, most not rated PG-13, crossed your mind. You were suddenly starting to feel uncomfortable. This was probably just something innocent, which got twisted in your fucked-up mind. You shrugged, “Uh… I don’t know.”
“I got an idea.”
“What is it?”
“Come over this week. You said you needed a break, right?”
“That sounds more like you’re doing me a favour instead of me making it up to you.”
“I don’t have any friends. You’d be making it up to me by being the first physical person here in years. I usually don’t invite people over.”
“Wow, I’m flattered. So, you don’t consider me to be your friend after all?”
“You know that’s not what I meant,” he chuckled.
“Sure, sure. Tell me that again when my presence suddenly brightens your life making you not want to get rid of me, ever.”
“I’ll keep it in mind.”
 ***
You walk through the gates following a hoard of people, all the while still feeling drowsy from not getting any sleep during your flight. At least you didn’t have any turbulence and landed safely. Glancing around here and there with no result, you figured Corpse would be waiting outside, until you spotted a figure clad in black a little ends away by the escalator. You were glad you were still awake enough to have found him, because he appeared to silently linger halfway behind a fern.
At least, you hoped it was him. The only indications were his clothes, mask and dark hair. You saw him run a hand through it, and identified the chipped black nail polish and familiar rings. Oh yea, that was him alright.
He seemed to be paying more attention to the floor until he saw two feet appear in his line of sight. “Hey,” you awkwardly greeted. A bit taken a back, he replied, “Oh, wow. Hey.” A mask was covering the bottom of his face, but as far as you could see his eyes were a very dark shade.
“Wow?” you repeated. He chuckled, scratching the back of his head. “Yea, sorry. It’s a compliment.” You held your elbow out in a safe-distance gestured hello, but he shrugged you off. “You’re gonna be staying with me anyways.” Suddenly in a daze, you felt him wrap his arms around your waist and instantly hugged him back. His baggy sweater felt warm and soft to the touch, and strands of hair tickled your face. You very much tried to repress your smile and blush, but how could you? Hugging someone wasn’t supposed to feel this good. When he pulled back he reached down to take your suitcase from you. “I don’t own a car, is it okay if we take a cab?”
“Y-Yeah, of course,” you stuttered, “But it’s on me. Same with food and stuff.” “Don’t worry about it,” he chuckled. “No, you’re letting me stay with you and a hotel would’ve been a lot more expensive than this. It’s my treat.” “Yeah, we’ll see.” He gave you a look and even with the mask you could tell he was smirking underneath it.
It’s about half an hour drive to his apartment complex, and it’s rather nice. “All that YouTube money paying off, huh?” you asked in amusement. “You’d know,” he replied. You insisted on carrying your suitcase up the stairs yourself, which he silently shook his head at, until after a few flights he noticed you struggling and settled on carrying the thing in between the two of you. “How many clothes did you bring?” “Oh, it’s mostly filled with bricks I might need to throw at your head.” He laughed at that.
His apartment was simple, but cosy. “Home sweet home,” he said, almost sarcastically. You furrowed your brow at him. “I’m sure you could’ve had it a lot worse.” He reluctantly agreed.
He helped you set down your luggage in what appeared to be his bedroom, where the curtains were still closed and the black bedsheets fresh. He had a few pieces of fanart up on his wall, and some on his closet. You turned to him and gave him a look. “You’re not sleeping on the couch.”
He quickly shook his head, “You’re not sleeping there. If you won’t let me sleep on the couch I’ll sleep on the floor.”
“If you’re sleeping on the floor, I’m sleeping on the floor.”
“Yeah, we’ll see about that,” he murmured. “What?” “Nothing.”
He suggested playing video games as you were both too tired to do anything else. You’d landed quite late yet were still confused about what time it actually was. Flying is weird. You hopped onto his couch and grabbed a controller.
He sat down next to you, but suddenly seemed tenser than before.
“You okay? You can just go to sleep if you want to.”
He shook his head, “Nah, I don’t sleep a lot. It’s fine.”
You didn’t stop looking at him, though. He was still wearing that mask. “You don’t have to take it off, if you don’t want to. I understand if it makes you uncomfortable.”
“It’s not that, I just…” He took a deep breath. You hadn’t expected him to take it off then and there. You stared at him, your mouth slightly agape, controller barely held by your numb hands.
“Disappointed?”
It was as if he was expecting you to make a face or something, but you didn’t give him anything, except for a blatant “Nope” and an “Are we gonna play now or what?”
“You don’t have anything else to say?”
You shrugged, and looked him up and down again. “You’re kind of what I imagined you to be.”
“What’s that?”
“Handsome.”
Neither of you could stop smiling for the rest of the night.
You eventually forced him to sleep in his own bed, even going as far as to shove him into the room and keep your weight against the door so he couldn’t get out, so he eventually relented. “Inviting you here was a mistake.” “How come? All I’ve done so far is look after you!” “You’re a nightmare.”
You mostly stayed in for the week, which you didn’t mind at all. Being in such a closed-off environment with someone you got along with was nice. He attempted to get you to lift the weights in his room and succeeded for around fifteen minutes until you nearly dropped a dumbbell on your foot. You ordered take-out from his favourite restaurant, watched horror movies until you adapted to his sleeping schedule because you were too scared to close your eyes now, and even streamed a bit together with your friends.
“Wait, is Corpse with you?” Rae had asked.
“No, I’m at Corpse’s. He’s sitting across from me so I can’t see his screen but we’re gonna have to share the Discord unless you want to hear an echo.”
“Ah, man! You got to see his face, too?” Sykkuno whined.
“Stop simping, Sykkuno. You get enough attention from him already.”
“Don’t worry, I still love you,” Corpse said.
“Huh?”
It was probably a good thing that you got teamed up again, because you could indeed start to see his hands shaking right as the word ‘impostor’ appeared on the screen. You reached over and stroked it with your thumb. He smiled gratefully back at you.
“Just please,” he pleaded later that day, “Sleep in the bed. If only for one night.”
“No. I’ve heard about and now seen your sleeping habits. If you take the couch you’re never going to get any sleep.” You made a real effort to show him how comfortable you were – even though your back had started to hurt already after the first night – by crawling underneath your blanket and rubbing your head into the soft pillow. He snorted.
Next thing, you feel yourself being lifted by an arm underneath your knees and one around your back. “Corpse! Put me the fuck down!” you shrieked. You knew he lifted weights, but how the hell did he still have the energy as an insomniac? He ungracefully dropped you onto the matrass and turned the lights off. “Good night.”
You quickly got hold of the back of his hoodie before he could leave and pulled. He fell down next to you with a low huff. “Fine, I’ll sleep in the bed. But only if you sleep here too.”
“I snore.”
“Don’t care.”
For some reason, there wasn’t any tension or awkwardness. You were comfortable, and the soft rhythm of his breathing seemed to soothe you. He called out your name, to see if you were still awake.
“Hm?”
“…Thanks for coming over.”
“Any time.”
This was how you would spend the rest of the nights, and whenever either of you woke up suddenly curled up around the other, you didn’t mention it or move away from it. It was the first time in years Corpse got a few nights of complete rest.

FOR THE BETTER pt II
Hey curvies, glad you liked the first part of my story yay. I now bestow upon you part 2. I went a bit out of the way with this chapter, but I hope you like it. The singing part is something I did in class once on a whim, it didn't work as good as I described in the story, I still had to submit my work LOL. Enjoy my little curvies MMMMWWWahHHH!
Dark Clark Kent x (Black)!Plus Size Reader SUMMARY: Mr. Kent said friends til the end of the week right? Think again. Y/n, still getting used to having Mr. Kent as a friend, is trying to be a bit more bold. She's trying to adjust to change and even though sometimes he may seem a bit pushy, she doesn't mind, its all friendship right? He'll back off after awhile right?
You walked in class, no paper in hand and you refused to meet Clarks disappointed gaze. You weren't the only one without a paper but you were really nervous about the presentation you had up your sleeve. You just hoped it made sense. "Alright, looks like we're getting speeches today. Who wants to go first? Hmm?" He said with his hands on his hips. No one volunteered. "Am I going to have to voluntell somebody?" he gave you "the look" over his glasses. Your heart pounded in your chest, but you shakily stood as first volunteer. "Alright Miss Y/l/n, lets hear it." You could hear disappointment dripping in his voice, but you wanted to do this. You took a deep breath, and started to sing. 'Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again, because a vision softly creeping left its seed while I was sleeping, and the vision that was planted in my brain, still remains. Within the sound!!!!!!!!! Of silence.' you ended making everyone freeze and stare. "My voice is pretty much the best thing I like about me. I-I didn't think a paper could put in words what my voice could. Th-that's my speech." You said awkwardly sitting down. You'd never sang in front of anyone like that before, you hadn't even joined the choir, so singing in front of everyone was a huge step for you. Just as you'd finished processing what you'd done, the classroom erupted in cheers and applause. You were shaking at how many people liked what you'd done. You really began to shake when you saw Clark clapping for you too. "That's my wife!" One of your classmates yelled across the room smiling at you. "Alright, alright. Miss Y/l/n," Clark started. "That's Mrs. Bankston to you." the same classmate yelled out making everyone laugh. Your face heated up a bit. "Miss Y/l/n thank you for the speech. It'll suffice this time, next time I want a paper. Okay, Bankston, you're up next." "Aw Mr. Kent for reals? Like how am I supposed to follow up an act like that? Besides we're duo. Like ebony and ivory..." He serenaded holding his hand out toward you, making you giggle. "Mr. Bankston Miss Y/l/n has fantastic gpa in comparison, so seeing as your such a duo I would've expected a lot better." Clark shaded calmly, "So unless you want it to suffer any further, I suggest you cut the crap and give your speech." Clark said a bit irritated. The rest of class was filled with boring speeches from classmates who weren't even prepared to do their work. When class was dismissed, you tried easing out of the room without being noticed. "Uh, Miss Y/l/n, my office please?" He said looking over his glasses at you. You inwardly groaned and went back to his office. "So, what excuse do you have for not doing your paper?" "I honestly couldn't come up with the words to describe how it felt to use my voice. I tried I really did, but honestly, I really just couldn't find the words to describe what I like about me when-I just couldn't find the words." "Y/n, you do not give yourself enough credit. You're a very good writer and obviously an incredible singer. You can be whatever-" "Clark, do I look like a singer to you? No I don't, that's why I write, I know my words have more impact behind the scenes." You said with strength. You didn't have to be seen to be heard. "You can be whatever you want to be and you'll have my support every step of the way. That's what friends, real friends do." "Clark we are not still friends, we said til the end of the week." you shook your head at him with a smile. He smiled and stuffed his hands in his pocket. "Sorry, I'm not going away." "Figures." You laughed a bit. "What are you doing tonight? We could have a movie night." "Will Lois be there?" You asked excited. "I can ask her if you want me to." "I guess it'd be cool, but for like 30 minutes though." "Y/n no movie lasts 30 minutes. Nice try though." he laughed. "We'll be over at 8." "'Kay bye!" You said rushing out of his office off to your next class. That night at 8 on dot a knock came to your door, you answered expecting to see the couple standing there but was a bit shocked to
just see Clark. "Hey, Lois coming by later?" You asked, the last you wanted was to cause drama. "No she's following a lead on a story for the front page. She says she's sorry and she'll catch up next time." He said walking past with bags of groceries. "Oh, well let me help you." You said motioning at the bags in his hands. "I've got it, its pretty heavy." "I swear I honestly thought you'd be bringing a pizza." you chuckled. "Where's your table?" "Table?" You asked head tilted to the side. "Where you eat, the dining table?" he asked sitting the groceries on your counter. "Haha, you have a table for guests. I never have anyone over, so I just sit in front of the tv." you said pointing at your couch. He rolled his eyes at you and huffed. "Oh come on don't look at me crazy, I warned you that I was anti." "That's no excuse." he mumbled as he opened your refrigerator. "Y/n, you don't have any food in here." He fussed. "I do, its in the freezer and the pantry." you defended. "Two chimichangas, a pint of ice cream, Nutella, animal crackers, soda, and ramen. That's not food." He fussed even harder. "Okay dude chill, I'm a working grown college student. I don't eat here much anyway I eat at work, and Nutella is sustainable to my everyday existence." You said yanking the hazelnut spread away before he threw it away. He shook his head as he put the food away. "How long has it been since you've had a hot home cooked meal?" "Last week at your mom's." you shrugged. "I'm glad I brought real food to cook." he fussed on. "Clark, we could've just ordered pizza." you said starting to feel a bit bad for not adulting enough. "We could've, but I wanted to cook for you." He turned and looked at you pleading. "Please tell me you have pots and pans." "God Clark I'm hopeless not an idiot." You joked laughing obnoxiously making him roll his eyes at you. You showed him where everything was and he started cooking. You offered to help, be wanted to cook for you. You sat up the snacks an pulled up Netflix so you could choose a movie. He made his way over to you with a glass of wine. You took a sip and dramatically fell to the ground, pretending to die by poisoned wine. He got down on the floor with you and you looked at the height difference of his head by your feet and your head at the middle of his thighs and started laughing making him laugh like you'd never heard. After you both calmed down you laid there staring at the ceiling like there were stars hovering. "You really do have an amazing voice." Clark said cutting the peaceful silence. You couldn't help but smile. "Thanks....friend." You said nudging him in his thigh with your elbow. You both stayed silent until you gasped making him almost jump out of his skin. "What?" he said worried. "Can I sing at you and Lois' wedding?" You asked catching him off guard. "Oh come on, you love her, I can see it, " You said sitting up and smiling down at him. "and you both look so beautiful together." You stood tall and put your hands on your hips in "Superman" fashion. "Since I'm your friend I give her the golden stamp of, put a ring on it!" You said holding out your thumb. "Okay, I'm picking gonna pick the movie." You said marching to the couch. "That's not fair, I'm cooking I should get to pick the movie." He standing to check on his food. "We could've ordered pizza." You rebutted. "I'm your guest." he shot back with a shit eating grin. "Shit! Fine, you get to pick the movie." "Well I'll pick it after we eat." "Aww what? The tv's right there." You pointed. He looked over his glasses at you. "I don't even have a table." you argued. "You've got an argument for everything don't you?" He said chuckling. "You've got a coffee table, we'll make it work. Do you have a candle?" He said looking around before looking at you. You were there with your hands on your hips, looking at him like-'you know damn well.' He shook his head at your for the millionth time making you giggle a bit. He set the table and poured you another glass of wine. "You know this stuff gets better the more you
drink it." You said gulping the glass down and holding it out for more. "Mm-hmm." He agreed taking a sip of his own while pouring you more. You took a bite of you food, you immediately stood and clapped. "You were right, this is way better than pizza, although pizza is still good, this is amazing. "So what genre do you like most?" He asked. "Horror, I don't know why I watch it though, I always spook myself afterwards." "Okay so no horror." "No, wait please? I won't get scared tonight I promise. I mean unless you want to watch cartoons?" "We'll watch something scary." "Yaaaaay!!!!" you cheered and went to reach for the remote to your tv. "Ah, after we finish dinner and clean up." "Deal!" You said a bit excited. Once dinner was done and you'd both cleaned, even though you told him you'd do all the cleaning, he still helped. Afterwards you both sat and watched a scary movie that had you stress eating and jumping every two seconds. After that movie ended, Clark suggested another movie to help you not feel so spooked. You'd lost count of how many glasses of wine you'd had and you were feeling tipsy and tired. "Hey friend?" You hummed. "Hm?" "I fuckin hate to admit this, but I'm drunk. I'm glad we're friends. You better be glad too." you fussed at him. "I am glad," he laughed, "I really am." He said staring at you. "Good, cause you're the only person I can tolerate. Oh, and Lois....oh and that your mom, I really like your mom....oh and that cute guy from class." you giggled making Clark roll his eyes in disgust. "Y/n please." "What? He's cute, he's an idiot, that doesn't change that he's cute." You said looking at your phone. Your eyes grew big as you saw the time. "Dude its past midnight. Don't you need get home and rest for lecture?" He stared at you for a moment and you could tell he didn't want to go home, but you both knew he had to. "Yeah I'm sure I could use some rest." He said getting up to leave. You tried to get him to take the rest of the food he'd bought with him, but he refused. "Well thanks for dinner's meals and be safe. Do you need me to walk you out?" "Absolutely not, how about I see you off to bed?" "I look five to you? Don't even answer that." You sassed. He laughed and gave you a long hug, telling you how proud of you he was for using your voice and for letting him be your friend. You squirmed out of his arms pretending it was burning you. He ruffled your fro' and you gave him a playful nudge out the door. That night as you laid in bed trying to fall asleep, you kept thinking about Clark and no matter how hard you tried to shake it you couldn't help but fawn over him and how close you both had gotten so fast. 'Girl puh-lease, he's got Lois, she's beautiful and thin. He's happy with her and there's no way he'd even bat an eye at you like that. Don't even get it twisted.' you scolded yourself internally. You couldn't allow yourself to catch feelings for him that way because you knew you'd only end up with hurt feelings. You also didn't want to break up a happy relationship. 'How'd he know I needed groceries though?' you thought to yourself, 'Maybe just a hunch.' you dismissed. Soon with your mind going in 50 different directions, you were tired enough to fall asleep. "Goodnight little bird." Clark said as he watched you finally drift off to sleep. He wondered what thoughts plagued your brain that kept you awake. He hoped you'd thought of him. After making sure every inch of you apartment was safe inside and out he felt satisfied enough to go home and get a bit of rest. 'No harm in making sure she's safe' he thought as he finally took off. 'I'll always make sure she's safe.'

It’s Just a Movie: Part 3 (Poly!Lost Boys x Fem!Reader)

Now, while you were technically in a life or death situation with four vampires, you couldn't lie to yourself and say that you hadn't wanted to explore Santa Carla at least once in your life. Not Santa Cruz. Santa Carla. Time had changed the boardwalk, the styles, the people. But, now, you were right in it. The actual 1980's Santa Carla. You climbed off of Dwayne's bike, and you couldn't hide your awe as you looked down the length of the coast.
The boardwalk was littered with teenagers with wild hair, piercings, and people of all sorts. There were games, rides, and bonfires already lighting up the beach. And not a cellphone in sight. It was weird, and suddenly the piece of technology felt heavy in your pocket. You had almost forgotten that you had it, and your hand went to smooth over the rectangle in your back pocket. Suddenly, all didn't seem lost. Though, you quickly reminded yourself that this was the eighties. No wifi. No data. Hell, you'd be lucky if you still had battery. The only thing you'd have access to were the pictures and downloads you had saved on your phone. Then, it hit you. Your contact list. While you couldn't call them through your smart phone, you assumed, maybe you could call your friends if you managed to find a phone-booth or something...Or, god, a landline. Even if it was only a semblance of a plan, it felt better than nothing. Now, you just had to figure out a way to ditch the four of them so you could get your hands on a phone and avoid becoming their next meal.
"I'm guessing you haven't lived here long." David said, and you nearly jumped out of your skin. You looked over, and watched as he walked past you. The other three followed, with Marko grabbing one of your hands and pulling you to follow them. You supposed you hadn't been keeping your amazement subtle, and you already knew that he, and perhaps Marko, were the most observant of the four boys. Your voice was small as you supplied a simple,
"Yeah, just got here." You made a mental edit of your plan. You had to find a phone and ditch them before they found out you weren't exactly from here in more ways than one. You had a feeling that lying to him would be futile, and it was technically true. You really had just got there. He hummed, and then looked back at you. It was apparently Markos turn to pull you close, though the boy was closer to your height and chose to wrap an arm around your waist instead. He sent you a friendly smile, and you repeatedly reminded yourself over and over again that these four were not to be trusted. Horror movie. Killers. David sent you a smile, and, while it was as charming as his voice, it did nothing to calm your nerves.
"Explains your friends. Not everyone in Santa Carla is as nice as we are." David said, and you nearly wanted to laugh. Yeah, you were sure they were the nicest gang of killer vampires in the whole town. Maybe even the whole state. Instead, you hummed and said,
"Yeah, thanks for the ride. You guys...well, I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't met you." Now, that was the truth. You weren't just being sentimental with that statement. If you had been stuck here with not a familiar face in sight, in a strange town, and no way to call your friends? Well, you'd bet that you'd currently be having a panic attack in front of the movie theater. Not that you weren't just a few wrong moves away from having one right now. Paul practically jumped right next to you, squishing himself into your side and chirping a quick,
"You're welcome," before he added, "Y'know, your friends are kinda lame. Why don't you just hang out with us tonight?" He offered. Really, you swore that if you didn't know that these boys were vampires that you'd think they really might be some of the nicer people in Santa Carla. It wasn't like they knew you. But here they were, giving you rides, taking you to meet your friends, offering to hang out with you- Crap. You did a mental head shake. You had always made fun of Michael for falling so easily under their spell but here you were. You knew that they could be dangerous and, still, you were starting to think that you could trust them. You looked around for a moment, seeing four expectant set of eyes on you. Marko even tried to win you over by saying,
"C'mon, we're loads more fun." And, David, the charming bastard he was, gave you the most expectant look of all.
"Yeah, c'mon, y/n." The way he said your name, it reminded you of exactly the way he'd said Michael's. You could practically guess what was going to come out of his mouth next. "How far are you willing to go?" It didn't seem nearly as menacing as it had when he'd said it to Michael, but it effected you all the same. He'd used a similar tone. Gauging. Taunting. Like he was playing a game of chicken and seeing if he could egg you on. You instinctively looked away from his face, and to the most neutral of the four vampires. But the look Dwayne was giving you didn't help, and you watched as he looked over your face. Just his stare could make you on edge. You said the best excuse you could think of, but even it sounded terrible to your own ears.
"I really shouldn't...they're expecting me." You said, and you internally cringed. It was a lie, and, like you expected, you watched as David seemed to be able to immediately tell. Or perhaps he was frowning from your refusal. Apparently, you weren't willing to go very far. You couldn't really tell, but the blondes besides you seemed hardly convinced. Though, you couldn't get the way David frowned out of your mind. Sure, Michael had been stupid to follow the boys and let himself get egged on, but he had lived. They had kept him around. That was what lead you to adding, "But- but, maybe... we could check out some stuff on the way?"
You hadn't known what to expect, but bouncing from store to store definitely wasn't it. They took you to a music store, which was filled to the brim with old, technically new, cassettes and vinyl. You managed to surprise them a little bit with your taste in music, as the twenty-first century had made it far too easy to listen to stuff from decades before. You were even tempted to buy some stuff, as you were sure you wouldn't find them for nearly as cheap back home. But, you had to be careful not to slip up when they asked you about your favorite bands. You still didn't technically know what year it was, so you stuck to bands from the seventies just to be safe. Paul ended up showing you a few records, and you tried not to blush as he dragged you into one of the listening booths. He popped a couple of records on, before putting the headphones snuggly over your ears. You tried not to be embarrassed by the close proximity, and were grateful when Marko called that they were leaving. Even if it cut into the conversation you and Paul were having about the record. Afterwards, you stopped at a little booth selling various jackets, trinkets, jewelry, and even a few patches. You looked through them with Marko, taking the time to really get a close look at his jacket. He noticed you staring, and propped his elbows up on the clear counter. He sent you a grin, and you were flustered and looking away before he could even tease you. You saw that the other three seemed to be more interested in the bracelets, and that's when you noticed the ones decorating Dwayne's wrists. You had missed it in all your previous viewings, but you weren't surprised that you had. The costume designers had done so many little details for their wardrobe, and Dwayne noticed you looking. But, instead of teasing you, he passed you a similar looking bracelet as the five of you walked down the boardwalk. You gave him a confused look, and his lips quirked up just the slightest bit.
"Doesn't fit my wrist." He explained nonchalantly, and you watched as he strode closer to the platinum blonde leading the pack. You smiled to yourself, and tried your best to tie it onto your wrist yourself. Paul ended up helping you, his nimble fingers working quickly. He didn't ask where you got the bracelet, and instead dragged you towards the arcade David had been leading you to.
You didn't realize it until you asked one of them what time it was, making sure not to reach for your phone in your back pocket no matter how much of a habit it was, but it seemed that the boys also had a plan. You had relaxed, no matter how much you had tried not to, after spending what you realized was hours with them. It was getting late, and, when you finally made it to the carousel, none of them seem surprised when you said you didn't see your friends. Not that they'd actually be there waiting for you. But, still, the realization that they'd been stalling, making sure you would end up with no one else to hang out with that night, made you remember. Horror movie. Killers. You bet that any second David would be suggesting to take you to-
"You know where Hudson's Bluff is? Overlooking the point?" And you looked over at him. This was it. Your panic suddenly spiked at the idea of going back to the cave with them. No matter how cool it would be. No matter how much you wanted to see it for yourself. This was where everything went to shit. If you went back to the cave with them, there'd be no crowd to prevent you from getting murdered. You'd be alone. With them. Before any of them could jibe you into coming with, you quickly said,
"I should call them- my friends. Y'know, to- to make sure they're not worried about me. I don't want them telling my parents I got kidnapped or something." You quickly suggested, and the boys swayed for a moment. The three others looked between you and David, and you knew that they were waiting for his word. After a moment, he gave you a nod. You supposed that calling off any potential alarms would be something he'd be all for. And, hopefully, you could actually reach your friends.
"There's a phone booth at the end of the boardwalk. You can call your parents too. Tell them not to wait up." He said with a small grin, and it surprised you. If you didn't know any better, you'd almost think David was flirting with you. The walk back to the bikes, and to the phone booth, was surreal. David had pulled you closer to the front, but he wasn't nearly as affectionate as the others. Still, just standing next to him made you feel like you were doing more than you should.
You had meant to ditch them, but, now, they were only a few feet away. Sitting on their bikes. You felt stupid for having missed it when you first arrived, but the place had been swarmed with people. And the phonebooth seemed to purposely be stuck in a small, dark corner. You gulped as you closed the glass door behind you, and you rustled around in your pockets for loose change. The only thing you had was a nickel and a couple of pennies, and you cursed yourself for not keeping more change in your purse. Not that you knew how much it would cost anyways. You looked back out at where the boys were waiting on their bikes, having noticed that the crowds had thinned out considerably compared to when you first arrived. You gulped and cracked open the door.

it’s heavy;

heavy when it hits me so fast;
heavy and it’s driving me mad
that i’m never gonna give you up!

“OH MY FUCK--GOD!” A shrill voice cuts through the nearly empty living room; three forms huddled together on the sofa as the horror movie continued on the tv screen.
“Are you serious right now, Jihoon? Nothing even happened yet and you screamed!!” You tease.
You’d come to learn that Jihoon quite actually hated horror films.
And apparently so did Chan.
Your eyes scan over Jihoon’s frame squished into your side as his own eyes leave the tv for the 60th time that night; his grip on your waist tightening as he digs his face into your shoulder. “I can’t do it, I’m trying to look at the corner of the screen but I just know something’s going to pop out, I just know it, I--”
“Hyung, she’s right you know, nothing’s even--FUCK WHAT WAS THAT!?” Chan jolts at the screen, his own arms tangling with Jihoon’s around your waist in fear as the demon in the movie re-emerges from a dark closet.
You sigh, wondering why Minghao and the others hadn’t replied to any of your calls and messages; leaving you alone with Jihoon and Chan on this dark and rainy Halloween night. And you loved Jihoon with your whole heart and taking care of cute Chan was always fun but everyone being missing and unreachable seemed a little peculiar.
Even to you.
“You guys, it’s not even real. Look, c’mon, nobody is going to pop out of the closet later. I’m sure Mingyu would kill whatever came crawling out of the closet Jihoon and Chan, do you even have a closet for demons to come out of?” You tried to lighten the mood and reassure them as you pry their clammy fingers from your midsection.
They simultaneously shoot you a glare, crossing their arms as you separate yourself from their bodies.
“I really don’t get how you two are so easily scared by these horrible movies!”
Chan pouts, “Well hybrids exist so surely demons do too!” You shoot him a dumbfounded look, “That literally has zero correlation.”
“Whatever, I’m gonna grab more popcorn and I’ll be back.” Jihoon grumbles; eyes avoiding the screen as he scurries off to the kitchen.
Tumblr media
The horror movie continues to play, small whimpers and screams coming from both of the boys on either of your sides.
You still don’t understand why they thought watching a horror movie on a rainy night was a good idea but they were determined to finish it by this point. And you, on the other hand, were getting bored. Horror movies weren’t that bad for you and you slept perfectly fine afterwards so you weren’t worried.
Unfortunately for Jihoon and Chan, that was not the case.
Jihoon had cocooned himself into a blanket with only his eyes peeking out and Chan had stolen one of the sofa pillows and had used it to hide behind when a scary scene was taking place. Biting your lip, you turn to each of them, watching as their eyes stay glued to the TV.
“Hey, if you two are so scared, why don’t we just turn the movie off. You’ll regret it if you can’t sleep later… And Minghao might kick my ass if he knows I let this happen to Chan.” You offer. Jihoon clears his throat, agreeing that maybe it was a bad idea to continue while Chan already started to reach for the remote tucked under the mass of snacks nearby.
As soon as he hits the power button, a bolt of lightning flashes outside causing the power to suddenly blow.
“Fuck! The demon’s here, I knew it, it’s because we watched the movie! We’re done, oh god, I haven’t even lived that long and Minghao hasn’t even taken me to a theme park yet and I--”, Chan cries, throwing the remote control haphazardly across the room as he tugs his fluffy ears down in panic. He immediately turns to you, burying his head into the crook of your neck as he continues to ramble incoherently against your skin.
On your other side, Jihoon has gone completely silent as one of his hands searched the dark for one of yours; his eyes completely closed in fear of seeing something in the dark that he didn’t want to see. You attempted to wrap an arm around each of them as your eyes adjusted to the darkness, their forms drawing even closer and molding to your body.
“I’m not gonna lie, I’m shocked that you two are so scared of the dark right now.”
The only real light coming in was from whatever little bit of moonlight was visible through the clouds as you stared at the blobs glued on your sides. “Let’s be fair here. We just watched a horror film where things lurked in the dark, can you cut us some slack!?” Jihoon scream-whispers as Chan nods against your shoulder, “Jihoon-hyung’s right, I’m not normally scared of the dark!”
You pat him on the head, running your fingers through his hair as he leans into your touch.
Jihoon unwraps from your hold a few moments later, his eyes adjusting to the dark against his will as he clears his throat.
“We--Maybe we just need a distraction, that’s all… I’m sure the power will come back on soon, or maybe one of the others will come see if we’re ok. We just… We need to find something to do or else our minds will wander.” He suggests. You nod in the dark, raising an eyebrow, “Like, a game or something?” Jihoon hums back an agreement. The three of you sit in silence trying to think of anything to play but nothing comes to mind.
“I can’t think of anything, Jihoon.”
Chan sighs, raising his head from your shoulder. “We could play that one game, y’know, ‘are you nervous?’ I heard Minghao-hyung talking about it! All we do is touch or do things to each other until someone chickens out! It could be anything!” You could hear a smile in his voice that almost made you smile until you heard Jihoon scoff.
“That sounds like fun until something grabs you and it’s not me or her, Chan.” Jihoon deadpanned.
You can only grimace knowing that comment went straight to Chan’s head. “Why on god’s green earth would you say that, hyung!?” An exasperated noise leaves Chan’s mouth as he lets go of you, arms flailing off of the sofa before he gasps and balls up again. “Oh my god, what if something grabbed me just now, would you have done anything to save me?” You had no idea who that question was directed to but you replied with a simple “yes”.
“Are we going to play or what? The more I sit here, the more I start seeing demons in the kitchen over there, to be honest.” Jihoon was getting restless, his fingers gripping your shirt. “We don’t have anything to do anyway, we need to get our minds off this power outage, and the potential demon. I think Chan especially needs it, he seems to be losing it more than I am.”
You can only nod in agreement; after all, what could go wrong. “Should I start then?”
It’s silent for a beat before Chan speaks up. “I’ll do it!”
Even in the dark, you can see Chan sitting up on his knees as you turn to face him slightly. He pushes your shoulder, causing you to crash into Jihoon; your back to Jihoon’s chest as his legs open wider to accommodate your figure. It’s a little uncomfortable on the sofa, but Jihoon doesn’t seem to mind. “Are you nervous?” You can almost hear the smirk in Chan’s voice and although you were confused with the shift in the atmosphere and maybe a tiny bit concerned at where this was leading, you didn’t voice it.
“Not at all, Channie. Should I go next?”
Jihoon and Chan both make noises of agreement as you considered your options. You really didn’t know what to do, so you simply placed your palm down onto Jihoon’s sweatpant clad thigh and squeezed. A garbled noise leaves his lips and you can hear the stutter in his breath. “Jihoonie, are you nervous?” He’s silent for a little too long before he replies with a slightly breathless ‘no' and asks if it was his turn.
You nod, feeling his arms come around your waist as he rests his head in the crook of your neck; lips lightly trailing up behind your left ear as he whispers a simple “nervous yet?” before kissing the shell of your ear.
You had to admit, this was getting a little too hot too fast and you weren’t sure if this was the nature of the game but you weren’t mad about it.
“Um, n-no…”
Chan takes the lead, lips easing into a wide smile. “I’ll go next!” His fingers rests on your bare thighs, slightly prying your legs open as he makes space for himself between them; careful to avoid grabbing onto Jihoon’s legs.
By nature, you clamp your legs shut, trapping Chan’s hands in between as you yelp. “Hold on, wait, wait, wait, what is going on here!?” Your face burns red in the dark, almost glad the power was out so that they couldn’t see even though you already know Jihoon can feel the way your body warms up.
Neither of them knew how to answer, so you sat in silence; only your steady breaths heard as you sat between Jihoon’s legs with Chan’s hands trapped between your still clamped legs.
Chan clears his throat as he attempts to pull back his hands from between your legs. “I--um, uh, it--it was Jihoon-hyung’s idea! He told me to tell Minghao-hyung I was sleeping over and to not check in! And then he called Mingyu and told them to not check in either!”
“What!? Me!? Don’t you dare pin this on me, brat! We planned this together!”
Your mouth hangs open in shock, eyes threatening to fall out of your skull as they continue to argue. “I didn’t wanna do it! I told hyung it wouldn’t work! I told him we should’ve done it differently!” Chan cries; tossing his head back dramatically.
“Okay, both of you shut up! Jihoon, what is going on!?”
The snake hybrid groans from behind you, arms still locked tight around your waist. “Listen… I--It wasn’t supposed to go like this, okay? We were gonna finish the movie and then ask you if--if you wanted to, y’know, play with both of us. And don’t try to deny it, I know you think Chan is cute. I just wanted to treat you to something nice.”
Chan wiggles his fingers, still trapped in between your thighs. “But then it got all spooky instead and the power went out...” The bunny hybrid mumbles.
You could feel your body heating up at the thought of being between Jihoon and Chan. And in truth, you’d thought about it maybe once, but it was a fleeting thought that’d left your mind just as quickly as it’d entered.
“I--I mean, uh, I mean, I’m okay with this b-but Jihoon, are you really okay with this? You don’t have to--”
“I’m fine with this, too.” Jihoon cut in, his arms squeezing your waist tighter.
A thankful sigh escapes Chan’s lips as he chuckles, “Thank god. I’m not gonna lie, I’m already a little hard....” You can see his face clearly now that your eyes completely adjusted to the dark.
“We literally haven’t even done anything yet.”
“Shut up, hyung!”
Tumblr media
“Ngh… C--Chan…”
Your fingers tangle into his hair, careful of his ears as he dips his tongue into your entrance. Jihoon continues to nuzzle at your neck, appreciating your warmth as the younger hybrid works your body up for the both of them.
“She likes it when you use your fingers, y’know. And if you curl them just right, it makes her feel really, really good.” Jihoon guides. His lips ease into a lazy smirk when Chan listens eagerly and brings his fingers to your folds; using your wetness to coat them before he positions his index and middle fingers at your entrance. “Can she take two at once?” Chan asks, voice almost eerily innocent to which Jihoon chuckles under his breath - the action making you shiver at how easily the two of them seemed to get along so well in this situation.
“Of course, she can. She’s always so good about taking my cock. I bet I could slide right into her tight ‘lil pussy right now. Couldn’t I, baby?”
You nod shakily as your eyes flutter shut at the feeling of Chan’s fingers sinking into you slowly. He curls them almost immediately and you mewl and squirm as Jihoon’s grip on you tightens. “Oh, she’s so tight around my fingers already, hyung~” Chan murmurs. He thrusts his fingers into your hot cunt, tongue on your clit when he finds that you seem to like that best.
“Hmm~ Look at your favorite bunny hybrid trying to please you. Fingers knuckle deep while he teases your clit with his tongue. Are you gonna cum for him?” You let out a choked noise at Jihoon’s words and your fingers lock tighter into Chan’s hair when he taps your g-spot, wiggling his fingers inside of you to stretch you out.
“Oh, g-god, yes!”
Chan sucks your clit between his lips and Jihoon has to hold you down tighter as you try to grind against Chan’s face.
Jihoon’s fingers start to roam and squeeze you through your shirt; delicate fingers pinching your nipples as you mewl at the sensations they were making you feel. It was one thing to have Jihoon’s hands all over you but now that Chan was added to the mix, you found yourself getting addicted to the excitement that flooded your senses.
“A-ah, Chan…” The sound of you softly calling his name has him immediately pulling off of you, lips glistening with your wetness when he peers up at you through the dark.
“Hyung, am I allowed to fuck her?” Chan questions quietly. The snake hybrid bites the inside of his cheek.
His possessive nature screamed no, but the other part of him already felt his cock throbbing at the thought of you getting fucked by someone else and getting filled with so much cum from the both of them that it’d be spilling out of you.
Jihoon’s throat feels dry at the thought alone.
“Yes. Fuck her tight ‘lil cunt and fill her up with cum. We’ll breed her so fuckin’ good she’ll be begging us both for more.” Chan giggles innocently; a complete contrast to the way his eyes burn with unadulterated lust when he leans in close to your face.
“Ah~ Minghao-hyung always complains about me rutting against the pillows. Says my libido is too high, but I just can’t help it~ Finally, I get to fuck your tight cunt and I get to cum inside you and fill you up with my cum instead of just using my hand and making a mess on the sheets!” He grins.
Christ, Chan was really oblivious to the way his words affected you.
“Ngh, please, one of you j-just fuck me already~” You whine.
Jihoon’s fingers tug on your shirt, helping you lift it off of you as you’re finally completely bare to them both. His fingers immediately go back to teasing your chest as Chan sits up proper between your legs, pushing his sweats and underwear down. “Hyung, are you sure this is a one time only thing?”
You mewl as Jihoon pinches your nipples hard; nails digging into his clothed thighs in return. “We’ll talk about it later, Chan.” He replies easily.
Chan wraps a firm hand around his cock, moaning as he spreads the precum all down his shaft. “Mmh, I really need to fuck you now.” He mutters.
“D-do it…” Whimpering, you try to spread your legs a little more given the small space. “Mmh, m-maybe taking it to the bedroom, ah, might’ve been a better i-idea.”You mutter.
Chan pouts, trying to get comfortable as he rubs the head of his cock through your folds, tapping your clit as you cry out in pleasure. “No, what if something grabbed one of us on the way there?” He retorts.
Jihoon laughs under his breath, eyes focused on the way your chest rises and falls in anticipation.
Chan lets out a shaky moan as he sinks his cock into your tight warmth, brows furrowing when he can already tell that he won’t be able to hold himself back. “Ah, you’re so--so tight…” He whines. His cock was a little shorter than Jihoon’s but just as thick to stretch you out to your liking.
He gives you a second to adjust before he skillfully draws his hips back and slams his cock into you. “Fu---fuck, she feels so good, I--I don’t think I can h-hold back…” His hands are on your thighs keeping your spread; biting into his bottom lip. “Ngh, please--please tell me I can fuck y-you harder!”
Jihoon smiles, snaking a hand down to your clit as he starts to roll the nub between his fingers slowly. It makes your pussy clench down harder onto Chan who lets out a choked whine at the feeling of your walls clamping down onto him in a vice grip. “Well, baby? What do you want? Tell your cute ‘lil bunny.”
Chan’s cock curves into your g-spot perfectly and with Jihoon’s fingertips teasing your clit, your head already starts to feel fuzzy. “Mmh… ah, y-yeah, fuck me h-harder, Chan… I wanna feel y-you...”
He whispers quiet thank you’s into the dark; hips slamming into you as Jihoon keeps you locked in his hold. Soft whines and moans spill from Chan’s lips and for a moment, it makes you wonder if he always sounded like this when he was alone and rutting against his pillow.
And almost as if Jihoon can read your mind, his sultry, lust filled eyes watch Chan’s cock fucking into you as he whispers, “How’s she feel, Chan? Better than rubbing your cock against the sheets? Or how about your hand?” The younger hybrid whines, cock throbbing as he already feels himself close to an orgasm.
“She---She, hah, feels so w-warm and wet… S-Shit, I’m going to think a-about this whenever I, ah, need to g-get off…” He licks his dry lips, committing to memory how your pussy felt around him. “It’s n-not gonna be the s-same when I’m alone…”
“Enjoy it while you can, bunny~” Jihoon teases. He takes his fingers off of your clit, nipping at the shell of your ear. “As for you, don’t cum, baby.” You nod shakily, realizing that at least that much was still only reserved for Jihoon.
Instead, Jihoon continues to provokes Chan, soft giggles on his lips when he sees the bunny hybrid struggling to stave off his orgasm. “Ah, hurry and fill her up with your cum~ I bet it’s been so long since you’ve cum, huh? You probably have a lot ready just to breed her tight little cunt too.”
His own words prove to do damage to himself when he feels his cock throbbing in his sweats; he really needed Chan to hurry up. And Chan doesn’t fare any better himself; airy whines and groans filling the air as he feels his abdomen tightening the more Jihoon continues to speak.
“Fu--fuck, I’m--I’m cumming!” Chan cries, hips pistoning into you at a breakneck speed as he fucks his cum deeper and deeper into you. Your body jerks between them both, choked whines of your own mixing with his as you do your best to not cum either which proves hard when Jihoon starts to coax you too.
“Mm, bet it feels nice and warm, huh, baby? Hot cum filling up your ‘lil cunt, waiting for me to cum inside you too so you’re full of both of us.”
“Jihoon…” You whisper, hips moving against Chan’s as he rides out the remnants of his orgasm. You can already feel the cum sliding out of you from around Chan’s cock and your mind turns to putty at the thought of Jihoon still fucking you and making you cum.
“Alright, bunny, time for you to move.” Chan nods slowly in return, thrusting into you one more time as the two of you share a moan. “Okay, okay, move!” Jihoon grumbles.
He realized it’d take days if not weeks to get Chan’s smell off of you.
Not that it was a problem. He always had ideas in store to make it easier.
Chan slides his cock from inside of you, watching as the cum drips down onto the sofa in large globs. He licks his lips, already itching to get his hands back onto you as he starts to move back.
Jihoon slowly unwraps his arms from around you and moves to switch places with Chan who tugs his own sweatpants back up. “Can I take a shower after this?” He asks quietly.
The snake hybrid exhales harshly through his nose as he replaces Chan between your legs, pushing his sweats and underwear down in one swift motion. “We’ll all go shower after this, now hold her still.” Chan nods, ears flopping atop his head; satisfied for now.
He wraps his arms around your midsection much like Jihoon had done, chin nuzzled into the crook of your neck as he watches Jihoon running his cock through the mix of your wetness and Chan’s cum. “Mmm, hyung’s gonna make sure our cum stays inside your hot cunt~ ‘Cause you need to be bred, y’know? Ah, Jihoon-hyung’s so lucky~ He gets to breed your pretty pussy whenever he wants~”
Jihoon’s jaw clenches tight, a hand placed firm on your thigh as he uses Chan’s cum as lubrication when he eases his cock into you. “Fuck, you’re so wet!” He growls; already starting a quick pace as he chases his high.
He’d waited long enough.
“Ah, you’re so warm too, you feel so good, baby…” Jihoon pauses, licking his lips as his eyes meet yours in the darkness. “And all mine, right?” He thrusts into you particularly hard for emphasis; almost daring you to say anything different.
“G-god, yes, yes! I’m y-yours, ah!” Chan slithers a hand down your torso, fingertips on your sticky and swollen clit as he starts to pinch and roll the nub between his fingertips. You clench around Jihoon; overwhelmed with the urge to cum as they both stimulate your body.
“Why don’t you cum for Jihoon-hyung, hmm? Cum around his cock and milk him for all he’s got~” You mewl at Chan’s words, toes curling as you and Jihoon both feel each other close to the edge. Jihoon’s cock curves into you perfectly and hits all of the right spots inside of you that have you bucking your hips to match his thrusts.
It only takes a few more thrusts before you feel the tension in your body threatening to snap at any second.
“Jihoon, I---”
“I know, baby. S’okay. Cum with me.” His voice is breathy and raw as he, too, feels his cock throbbing inside your tight heat.
Chan and Jihoon work in tandem as your rushed cries of Jihoon’s name start to roll off of your tongue and his thrusts become erratic; groans on his own lips as the two of you cum at the same time. Jihoon doesn’t stop his quick pace either, instead, doubling it as he fucks his and Chan’s cum further into your pussy.
“Shit, that’s right, hyung. Breed her fuckin’ cunt.” Growling, Chan pinches your clit as you let out a high pitched whine.
“J--Jihoon, please, please, pl--please b-breed me! Get m-me full of your c-cum!” You cry; delirium mildly settling in as his hot cum paints your walls and spills out of you from around his cock.
“Ngh, that’s---that’s right, baby. Beg me to fill you up, hah, just like you like it.” Jihoon starts to slow down his thrusts just as Chan starts to ease his fingers off of your clit and you sob quietly at the bliss that continues to wash over your body.
Your chest rises and falls in deep breaths as the remnants of your orgasm start to ebb off and you immediately slump against Chan’s warm chest as the tiredness starts to overtake you. “Fuh--fuck, ‘m so full o-of cum…” You whine.
The two hybrids can only groan in unison.
Jihoon starts to slide his cock out of you; licking his lips when he sees how much cum spills from your spent pussy. “Ah, such a waste.” He comments.
“Wait, wait!” Chan catches your attention and Jihoon’s when he starts to move from behind you. Jihoon shoots the bunny hybrid a confused look when he ushers for Jihoon to move again. “Just trust me, hyung.”
They switch places one last time as you rest against Jihoon’s clothed chest, eyes focusing on Chan who kneels in between your legs.
“Hey, can I kiss her?”
You blush as Jihoon narrows his eyes at the other male. “Only one time. Make it good.”
Chan smirks as he immediately dives headfirst in between your thighs; lapping up the cum that spills out of you and onto the sofa. You latch your fingers into his hair by reflex, sharp cries on your lips from the oversensitivity as Chan collects the mixed cum on his tongue.
Jihoon has to admit, he’s a little impressed.
Once Chan deems it enough, he holds the cum in his mouth as he pulls away from your cunt and your hands fall from his hair.
You watch through hazy eyes as he stops when he’s face to face with you; smiling at you angelically. He leans in, lips pressed firm against your own as you moan into the kiss. And once your lips part, Chan’s quick to push the cum into your mouth; a little dripping down your chin at the messy way his tongue pushes it in.
He pulls away once all of the salty substance is out of his mouth; a trail of saliva and cum connecting your lips as Jihoon whistles in amazement.
“Wow, can’t say I saw that one coming.”
Your cheeks flush and Jihoon enjoys the warmth that radiates from you in between their bodies.
Chan smiles at you innocently again; reverting back to his sweet bunny-like nature.
“Can we find some candles and go shower now, please?”

Someone tell me Lower Decks gets better
Edit: So I am hearing good things from very angry people, and I think that means that it’s fine.
I know that a lot of people like Lower Decks, and I think in isolation, I would be one of them, but this is supposed to be Star Trek, right? I like Rick and Morty’s particular brand cynicism, and hopelessness, and I know a lot of the people working on Lower Decks come from there, but that just isn’t Star Trek.
Disclaimer: I only saw the first episode, so most of this can be discounted if that isn’t an accurate depiction of the show as a whole.
Star Trek started off as a ‘perfect’ utopian future, that was about what its creators thought we should aspire to. But from the get go we are shown that there are many issues with it, and that it is a utopia because someone is always fighting against the bad actors, working to improve life, and deal with all those issues. Star Trek is about reform from the inside.
Kirk and Spock both think the Admiralty, the Starfleet Code of Conduct and even the Prime Directive are needlessly restrictive, so what do they do? They find loopholes.
Spock tells Commodore Decker that he won’t stand for the endangerment of the crew, and if he wants to call it mutiny he can do so the second they get back to civilization, where Spock will be allowed to plead his case. Kirk is told that all the Court Martial business can be swept under the rug if he’s willing to give up his pride, and he says no. He forces them to have to go through the process, so that he can plead his case, but also to demonstrate that the system should work, it shouldn’t ignore issues.
Picard and River find out that the Admiralty are being controlled by worms, and take it upon themselves to stop the damage that they are doing. (Such a Star Trek sentence, I know.)
Deep Space Nine as it progresses makes the show about how the ‘utopia’ is based on colonialist ideals, and leaves behind the most vulnerable in society. In the beginning this is done with the justification that if they help the people suffering and being discriminated against, then they may lose a potential ally, or gain an enemy. The government decides that it isn’t worth the risk, and let’s people suffer.
But Deep Space Nine is not just as amazing as it is because of the Holocaust metaphors, its also because it pushes at the moral fabric of the Federation. It asks the question “What happens when push comes to shove, and your perfect society descends into war?” And it shows the fallout, and it shows the toll on people’s lives, and it shows that even when you aren’t living in a perpetual state of war it’s very difficult to go back.
Voyager asks “What happens when no one is looking? What happens when all you have are your ideals and morals that come from a society you are no longer attached to (that we as the audience know, no longer exists)? Do you sacrifice your morals so that you can get back to your utopia? In fact, do you sacrifice your ideals for your utopia as a whole. Or would sacrificing them make it something other than a utopia?”
Haven’t seen all of them yet, so: Discovery says “What happens when you make the wrong moral judgment (or depending on interpretation, the right one, but no one allows you to go far enough)? What happens when you are the scapegoat that they blame an entire war, on? Even one that has brewing since before you were born. What do you do when they place the blame squarely on your shoulders, and solely at your feet? What do you do when the one person who gave you a chance to prove yourself turned out to be lying the entire time, and actually wanted you to be what everyone else thought you were?
“What do you do afterwards? How you trust someone again after that kind of betrayal? What do you do when some goodie two shoes, who has never seen the horror that you have, comes waltzing in and trying to apply their morals to your life? How could they possibly win your trust?” That one gets a definitive answer, they show their convictions, even when no one is watching, they say, “we have to do the right thing.”
It goes on to ask several others, (from what I know) which are in some ways similar to later seasons of Deep Space Nine, “What do you do when the utopia you loved and fought and bled, and that people died for, is gone? How willing are you to fight to get it back?”
Lower Decks introduces a character who sees the moral failings of Starfleet, shows them to other people and then encourages them to give up, and not try to make the situation better. They have influence, and could easily seize power, but what do they do? Nothing. They watch as people who should not be in charge remain in power and do nothing about it, and discourage anyone who wants to try. They don’t want things to be different, they want to rebel against their parents. And that’s it, not corrupt institutions, not bad protocols, or worse people in charge. They want their parents to notice them.
That is not Star Trek. Star Trek is about hope in the most dire of circumstances. It’s about persevering and going against the odds, even when you know you’re probably going to die anyway, but you still have to try.
It is about not just fighting for yourself, but for your family, your people, your crew, caring about the faceless and the nameless, the ‘lesser’, those that cannot fight for themselves. Standing up to and against the institutions which did the wrong thing, which did not protect the people they should have. (The waters get muddy with the different framings of the maquis, but you are meant to be sympathetic to their ideas, and morals, if nothing else.)
Nihilism has its place in Star Trek, (a cynical outlook can be seen as one of the most common character traits across series.) Existential dread has its place too, but it has to be tempered with that hope. And that hope isn’t unwavering, in fact most characters at one point or another lose it, briefly or for longer periods of time, but in those moments they rely on those around them to keep the faith. They continually pass the torch of whose responsibility it is. One of the most important things is that there is always someone who has hope.
And I would probably like Lower Decks if it seemed at all willing to explore the idea, “Well, what do you do when hope is completely lost? What do you do what there is no one left? And the thing you love is a shell of either what it used to be, or what it aspired to?”
Instead, all that is left of a green character who has never encountered that adversity and has their ideals forcefully beaten out of them. The central authority in their life tells them how they are wrong to cling to them (and then that person is demonstrated to be right.) I would be interesting to see the story if they wished to explore a slow dawning realization that hope is really lost, or even asked, “What do you do when there is nothing to hope for? And no one left to have that hope?”
To me it seems like they heard about Star Trek from parodies, and wanted to make jokes, so they set its central themes on fire, and then didn’t want to explore the implications. Just play in its dead carcass, and don’t you dare think about what it once was.
I know that Enterprise had its issues, but most people say that it improved greatly with the last season (besides the last episode), and say that it could have done more and been better if the network would have just kept it around a bit longer. People have their criticisms of Discovery and Picard, but I get the impression that they truly are labors of love.
Lower Decks gives me the feeling that it is just a blatant cash grab made by people who didn’t know, or understand the property and just had to do something with it. I know that their is diversity in the series, but I wish that I could say definitively that that the woman in the burka was actually meant to show the same sentiments as Chekhov in the Original Series. (As I remember seeing someone suggest as a viable option for how the New movies could handle Anton Yelchin’s death.) My thoughts right now is that it’s just an attitude of “Well, Star Trek is about diversity in thought, culture, and race, so we should make the characters diverse, because it’s a utopian future, right?” With no intention to to continue the way of dealing with current issues through allegory.
I hope I’m wrong. As far as I know it is a good show, but right now I don’t think it’s a good Star Trek one.
(Although again take that with a grain of salt, because I have seen so little, and I didn’t particularly like the Orville, or what I’ve seen of it. Mostly, because it felt clunky, unnatural, boring and like they took half remembered plot points/storylines and placed new characters into them. The heart was there, but the thought didn’t seem to be.)
Tl;dr: Can someone tell me if Lower Decks has the characters fight back against Starfleet, or the bad elements in it? Or even if it explores why that isn’t an option? Why they have lost all hope?

A Different Purrspective (Original Work)
“Human. There you are.”
Oh. It again. Or is it a her now, given the body it’s in?
To be honest, I hadn’t really cared much at the time about its sex—or if it even had one. I was a little too busy panicking over this thing that just one day up and decided to come after me because...
Actually, I never did get a clear understanding of its motivations. I was a bit too busy trying to protect myself from the FREAKING DEMON!
In my defense, I hadn’t known demons existed until that moment.
In its defense...
Well, it had none.
“I’ve been looking for you for a while now.”
Sigh.
I forced myself away from my cozy nap time to look over at the one disrupting me.
It was...pretty, I suppose. Full cheeks. Long eyelashes. Hair was messy. Its clothing was disheveled. But otherwise it looked good. Something in me felt that a demon shouldn’t be so pretty.
I wasn’t bitter though.
Even if the body it was in used to be mine.
You know those horror movies with the main leads that have to deal with spirits and possession and body snatchers? Yeah. That was me then.
As to be expected in a horror movie, I lost the fight and the...whatever that thing was took my body. And trapped me in its former vessel.
So the orange tabby cat being spoken to on the front porch of a suburban street? Yeah. That’s me now.
The jerk couldn’t even get me in a female cat body.
Though given what I’ve since learned about cats, maybe that was for the best. Ugh.
“Do you have any idea what it took to find you?”
Huh. The weird thing was that it sounded offended. Not sure why it was supposed to be the wounded party here. I was the one whose body was stolen. By IT in the first place.
And then to add insult to injury, it took me to a shelter and left me there. Giving me an evil smirk and laughing all maniacally-like on the way out. Probably figuring I would be euthanized.
It hadn’t expected me to be adopted.
Ms. McGregor. A lovely old woman. She was pretty much the picture of the cat lady. And she took quite good care of me, all things considered. Fresh water. Good cat food. Some treats every so often.
Granted, it was a bit humiliating since I wasn’t supposed to be a cat, but after what had happened, I was willing to take what I could get and live out my days in relative peace and quiet.
...then this asshole had to show up.
“Human, we need to talk.”
Here we go.
“I...acknowledge that some mistakes have been made.”
Oh really?
“And we both have some regrets.”
The one thing I regret about being in a cat’s body right now is that I can’t roll my eyes.
I know it should be possible. I’ve seen the cat videos. But I just...haven’t worked out how to do it myself.
“I...may have been a bit...hasty. In my previous actions.”
You said you’d stalked me for weeks to learn about my life before attacking me and pulling a Freaky Friday. That requires a bit more forethought than you’re giving yourself credit for.
“I was just excited for the chance to experience life as a human.”
Uh huh.
“It was only going to be for a while.”
Ignoring that from what you had gloated at the time, ‘a while’ was going to be however many kitty years I had left. And considering how old this body was when I was forced into it...
“Just...long enough to get the ‘human experience’, you know?”
Guess the ‘experience’ isn’t working out for you, huh?
“But all good things have to end.”
Good for who?
“So I was thinking...” It trailed off, as if expecting me to finish the thought for it.
It waited, watching me long enough for this to get uncomfortable. Then it sighed.
“Perhaps we should switch back?” It asked, trying not to appear too eager.
It was failing. Horribly. But it was trying.
“You can go back to your life and family.” It continued, as if it was trying to sweeten the offer.
It was an offer though. And one I hadn’t expected to get this soon.
Or ever.
But what I expected even less was my own disinterest.
I mean...sure, the entire thing was terrifying when it was happening and I had no idea what was going on. And humiliating to no longer be human afterwards. But it’s been...what. Two months? Three? And so far, things have been pretty good for me.
Yeah, I’ll pass.
“Come on now!” It insisted “Don’t you want to be human again?”
...was it serious?
“You would get to go back to your fulfilling job.”
You mean the 60+ hour work week with no breaks, no paid vacation, and shitty benefits?
“See your family again. Spend time with your siblings and their kids.”
My self-important and egotistical siblings. With their horrible, horrible kids. And their untrained dog.
“And you can return to having a normal life in a healthy human body.”
My most recent labs read some issues. I had gingivitis and a cavity at my last dental exam. And my appointment for operations on those matters both happened to be after my body got snatched.
How did that go, by the way?
It tensed, fists clenching.
“I think I was a bit...unfair. And I would like to rectify that and switch us back.” It bit out. I think its eyes even flashed.
It was the period pain, wasn’t it?
“How do you LIVE with that?!” It shouted, furious and possibly somewhat embarrassed given the red tinge to its face.
Huh. I didn’t know I could turn that color.
“Look, this works out for both of us.” It insisted, gesturing at me. “You can go back to your life and I can go back to not dealing with your life!”
Wow, you make my life sound so grand when you put it that way...
“Really?” It asked, hopefully.
No.
It groaned, running a hand through its hair.
Wow. It doesn’t look washed. Have you not been taking care of my body? That was one of the few things you said I wouldn’t have to worry about after you left me to rot.
“It’s harder than it looked, okay?”
How do you not know how to take care of a human body?
“Hey, even you humans need years of training on how to properly manage yourselves!” It hissed.
Well, sucks to be you, I guess. As a cat, I can just lick myself clean and not have to worry about appearances.
Its nose turned up in disgust.
“How are you okay with this?!”
Well, it sucked when it happened. But you know, we humans are pretty adaptable. Horror movies end after the credits, but odds are that we would just sort of have to get used to it sooner or later.
Did you think I’d just be screaming in horror within my kitty mind forever?
It paused.
“Maybe?”
Wow. That totally makes me want to help you.
“What? No!” It insisted. “I’m trying to help YOU here!”
And how is this helping me?
It...actually seemed to fumble for a moment.
“Aren’t you sick of eating raw meat and cat food? Isn’t it disgusting?”
Eh, it was hard to get used to at first, I’ll admit. But the nice thing about being a cat is that taste isn’t one of the senses high up on the scale of priority. I’ve only got like...a few hundred taste buds now compared to the thousands I had before, so it doesn’t really bother me. I do miss tasting sweet things though. But at least it means I don’t have to worry so much about how bad things taste.
“Aren’t you tired of having to hunt for food? I’ve seen you going after rats and bugs. Clearly you must be starving.”
Nope, the lady here feeds me pretty well. I just take out the mice to help her out.
It wilted. “But...the bugs?”
It’s actually kind of fun to hunt bugs. And they have this nice little crunch to them—
“Okay, okay, okay!” It interrupted quickly.
Was it was because it was grossed out by the conversation or because it secretly liked those things as well?
“Don’t. Just...don’t remind me.”
Huh, how strange for a demon. Honestly, it had been a cat, at least for a little while. It should know these things.
For that matter, it should also know more about humans in general and my life in particular if it had been following me for months.
“Look, let’s just switch back.” It implored. “I’ll stay in kitty form. You can go home and do...whatever with your life.”
I could.
“You can.”
But this is actually the closest thing I’ve had to a vacation in...like...years.
“You can’t be serious.”
YEARS.
“Listen to me you little shit!” It hissed out, its features turning significantly more sinister and...wow. Stop. I don’t think my face is supposed to look like that! “You are going to switch back with me or so help me—”
You’re supposed to be the powerful demon here. You stole my body before. If you really hate it so much, why don’t you just switch us again?
A pause followed. An unsettling long pause.
“I...can’t.” It muttered, unhappily.
Wait.
What?
“I took it by force. Which we can do.” It shrugged. “But no one’s ever just...switched back before! Not without permission.”
Sooo...you need my permission?
“Yes.”
Huh.
Maybe you should have thought of that BEFORE you stole my body, you creep.
“Oh come on!” It shouted. “Please! I can’t take this anymore. Your job is impossible, your family is insufferable, and this body keeps doing...things I don’t like to think about.”
Yeah, it does that.
“What would it take to switch back?” It demanded. “I can’t take it anymore!”
I’m not feeling particularly sympathetic to your needs right now.
“Do you want me to apologize? I’ll apologize!”
Would it be sincere? Or would it just be a manipulation tactic?
It hesitated.
Right. Enough said.
“It could be both!” It insisted.
And we’re done. Excuse me, I think I’ll be going back to my nap now.
“You know,” It said with a dark tone. “I could just kill your family. Then you’d go to prison. How would you like that?”
Hah. Good luck. Before I met you, I was still convinced they were hellspawn themselves.
Not to say that meeting you has actually changed that belief, to be honest. If even you can’t stand them, what does that say?
“I could kill them all and make it look like an accident. So you wouldn’t get in trouble when you returned.” It suggested instead and...wow...was it trying to bribe me now?
Pass.
Knowing them, they’d be worse than any demon. And would take you out before you could do them in.
Nice try, though.
It glared fiercely at me but said nothing further. If I didn’t know better, I would say it was pouting.
Human expressions are one thing I miss. I’d be doing a long sigh right now.
Look.
You’ve lived my life for all of two months and already you can’t hack it. Imagine dealing with that...all of that. For year after year on end. Going to work at a high stress and low reward job. Dealing with people who look down on you regardless of how hard you work. Dealing with family members that either ignore you or act like they’re superior to you. Dealing with their rotten little children that they are incapable of disciplining even as they wreck your belongings for the sheer entertainment of it. Dealing with a body that’s slowly giving out on you regardless of what you do because you have to overwork it just to earn enough to keep it functioning.
And knowing that despite all the hardship, you still have another 30 plus years of that shit to go before you’ll get to enjoy...maybe 10 years of retirement before your body gives out?
Meanwhile, I have maybe another 10 years of kitty relaxation in this life.
Why would I want to give this up?
“Because you aren’t meant to be a cat!” It insisted.
I’m not. But somehow I am.
And whose fault is that?
It was...oh wow. I wasn’t imagining it! It was pouting.
Huh. Apparently it’s a demon that isn’t used to not getting its way.
And arguably, it was a good deal. Most horror movie leads would jump on a deal like this to “right the wrongs” done to them and return to their lives. Anyone would.
But would you look at the time? Gee, buddy. I’d love to help you out, but that sounds like an awful lot of work and there’s a nice patch of sunbeam that’s calling my name.
“Don’t you turn your back on me—”
And you may want to check yourself. People are starting to give you odd looks and you really don’t need folks to recognize you and question why you’re talking to yourself in public.
It glanced around nervously before lowering its voice. “You could try to help, you know!”
Well, I could. But y’know...cat.
It sputtered.
Clearly, it wasn't possible for cats to laugh. Otherwise I would be laughing myself to tears right now.
“I could disrupt this new little life of yours!” It hissed, turning to threats where pleas and bribes had failed. “The only reason you have it so good is because that old hag took pity on you.”
Let’s not forget that if you had your way, I’d have been euthanized by now and this would all be a moot point. So maybe you should be a little more grateful to that ”old hag”.
“So you do care about her.” It smirked. “But she’s old. Frail.”
It hummed, nonchalantly. Then it smirked, knowingly.
“She looks about ready to keel over at any day.”
And what good would it do you if she did? You need me to be willing, apparently, remember? I was already spiteful as hell when I was human. And everyone knows that cats are nothing but spite.
“We can see if you’d still have that attitude after a few months on the streets. After all, there’s always the chance she could have an...accident.”
Not a good idea. You have not seen that woman lug her purse around. I’m pretty sure that lady was a former heavyweight champion. She can carry four bags of cat food at once, she could probably bench press you while she’s at it.
And there’s no way I’d go back to a body after that.
It opened its mouth—my mouth?—into an expression of rage, and looked about ready to scream.
A loud noise cut it off before it could make a sound.
“There you are!”
Glancing over, it was the front door of the house. The screen door had been opened and on the other side stood a short old woman. Her hair was tied back into a bun. Her nose stuck out at a sharp angle, but it framed her wide if somewhat wrinkled face. She wore no glasses, but she was squinting so much that she looked like she could barely see.
That was her. My new “landlord”, so to speak.
“Jennifurr! Dinner’s ready!”
It took a moment for the thing in my former body to realize she was talking to me. Cat me.
...oh. Did I mention that the Cat Lady had an awesome sense of humor?
Welp, that’s it then. Too bad, so sad. Looks like we’ll have to table this for another day. Maybe next year?
It gave a grunt of annoyance, but backed away. If nothing else, it wasn’t going to cause a scene here. More out of self preservation than anything. But it continued to glare at me, clearly indicating that this was not over.
I ignored it, going straight for the door as McGregor opened it to let me inside.
“There you are, dear! Everything all right?”
Eh, fine.
She placed a bowl with some cut up meat on the kitchen floor for me.
Oo. Chicken!
“Not too many pests, I hope.”
Only the one.
She continued making conversation as she milled about the kitchen. She does that often. Sometimes it even feels like she hears me.
I wasn’t lying. Not entirely, at least.
I miss being human. Parts of it, at least. The internet was great. I miss having hands that can type. And opposable thumbs. I miss my full taste buds. Some other things I can’t be bothered to think of right now.
But getting away from life does kind of help to put things in perspective.
I’ll go back though...eventually. Maybe.
What was that one meme? It seemed most fitting here.
Nope. I don’t wanna adult today.
Today, I will cat.

Sweet Pea//i have called you darlin' and i'll say it again
Request: Can I request a super fluffy Sweet Pea/Reader, the song Make you Mine by Public is kinda song I'd recommend listening to for it, not necessarily a song fic but just like Sweet Pea flirting/crushing on reader sort of thing
hey! so i had an idea for this and i really hope you like it! its a bit different to how i usually write and maybe a little different to what you were expecting. but i dunno, i just really liked the idea. i hope you do too! (if you don’t just tell me and i’ll write something else because this is a little different to the request) also, ‘lips’ is an inside joke between me and my girlfriend, and this is going to look really weird here but if you read on you’ll get what I mean.
From the moment Sweet Pea saw you, he knew you were the one.
He’d finally made it to the end of the first week of college, and with the help of his roommates he’d been invited to the first party of the school year.
If you’d asked him a year ago where he would be in 12 very long months, he definitely would not have said stood in a frat house, playing beer pong a bunch of Chad’s and Jason’s. But here he is, and to his surprise he’s actually enjoying it. A lot more than he thought he would.
He knows he probably should be back in his dorm, studying or sleeping or whatever freshman are supposed to be doing. But after the first week he’s still feeling a little lost. He doesn’t have any of his friends as Toni and Fangs both went to different college’s in different parts of the country. Classes are long, homework’s confusing and teachers are rude.
He’s surrounded by people that are so different from the ones back home, and so he can’t help feeling that he sticks out just a little bit. He’s unsure about the world of college, and so maybe going to a party will help him understand everything a little better.
But then he see’s you and everything falls into place.
You’re stood on the other side of the crowded room, a small red cup in your hand that matches those of the people around him and he looks down at his own drink, realizing that maybe he should have poured the bottle into the plastic cups everybody seems to have, even if they are ridiculously small and make him look like a giant.
You’re laughing, your head tilted back, your nose scrunched up, your eyes closed as the people around you join in. Your little group seemingly in their own world. Complexity unaffected by the loud music and even louder people.
He realizes he probably looks at least a little weird just staring at some stranger, but he can’t take his eyes away from you. He’s being pulled towards you, he has a need to talk to you, like his entire future balances on you.
It takes a while, but he eventually talks to you. And after some awkward moments, the two of you are stood in the kitchen. He’s happy for the first time since he left Riverdale. You laugh at something he said that wasn’t meant to be funny and he feels the entire world fall away around him. It’s just you and him. Him trying desperately to make you laugh, and you doing it probably out of pity.
You suggest a walk after a few minutes of shouting ‘what’ at each other trying to be heard over the music. And when he raises an eyebrow in surprise, you notice and make sure to to tell him it’s nothing funny, it’s just to talk. He agrees and you grab his hand, pulling him through the living room.
You ask him if he knows what a french exit is and he shakes his head. You smile at him, its small but no less breathtaking and full of questions he wants answers to. ‘I’ll show you’ you say and for a second he’s worried that he’s got himself involved in something sketchy, something that Fangs told him he would have to be prepared for, something of which he told him to ‘fuck off’ for.
But then you grab his hand and pull him towards the back door. It slams shut behind you and you’re both left standing in the back garden. It’s cold, an autumn breeze hanging around but it’s a welcome on your warm skin and you hope in the darkness that he can’t see the soft blush that dusts your cheeks.
He watches you look around, a confused expression on your face before you look back at him, a slightly embarrassed smile settling on your lips. ‘I thought we could get out this way’. He laughs, making your smile brighten and even though you still feel embarrassed it’s not so bad anymore.
‘We could climb over the fence.’ He suggests, you follow his gaze until the two of you are staring at a large wooden fence.
“Are you being serious?’ You ask, blinking at him.
“It’s not that high.”
“Maybe not for you, big foot.”
“Wow, like I haven’t heard that one before.” He says eventually.
“You know what they say, college is about new experiences.” You send him a sarcastic smile, to which he just laughs and shakes his head at. “Speaking of, if you want to climb over that, you’re going to have to help.”
“Or we could just go back in and go through the front door.” He says, looking back at the house but you’re already stood by the fence, waiting with your arms crossed.
“Nope.” You shake your head. “Once you’ve french exited, you can’t go back.”
“French exited? Is that a word?” He asks, getting on one knee so he can help you over the fence. You smile at him before throwing your bag over the fence and grab his shoulder, ready for him to push you up.
“Yep.” You reply, pushing yourself up and over the fence.
“In what language?” He asks, following you shortly after. Both of you land with a thud, thankfully on your feet but Sweet Pea still gets a glare after narrowly missing your bag.
“Mine.”
“How did you get into college?” He asks sarcastically.
You start to wander down the street, not waiting for him and it takes him a few seconds before he notices you’ve gone. The moon hides behind the clouds and you sigh, disappointed that there’s no stars out tonight. He watches you look up at the sky and follows your gaze.
“Wouldn’t you like to know.” You reply, looking back at him with a soft smile.
“I would actually.”
He hears you sigh, deciding that tonight just a glimpse of the moon will have to be good enough, before footsteps start again.
But he continues to look up at the sky, watching a future he so desperately wants paint itself on the cloudy canvas.
A shy friendship that slowly evolves the more you get to know each other. With flirty conversations that always border on something else, both of you terrified to step a toe over the line. It’s filled with innuendos that neither of you pick up on until it’s too late or that make the other blush like mad.
Longing looks when the other isn’t looking that keep you up half the night. And awkward eye contact followed by weird smiles on the rare occasion that you’re caught.
Brushing of fingers when you reach for the same thing...
“I’ve told you before, and I’ll tell you again. Stop putting the snacks on the top shelf.”
“This is my house?!”
“And?”
And nudging of elbows when one of your other friends says something stupid. Both of you sharing a look because you know for a fact when you’re alone you’re going to laugh about whatever’s been said.
Looking forward to the next day just because you get to see them and constantly checking your phone as you wait for text. Spending hours thinking of different excuses to hang out with another and even more hours afterwards thinking about the time spent together.
Inside jokes that confuse others around you but make you both laugh louder than anybody else.
“Hey. Hey. Hey. Sweet Pea?”
“Yeah?”
“Lips.”
“Okay, what the fuck does that even mean? Why are you both laughing so hard? What is so funny about lips!?!!”
Tight chests when you see them laughing loudly with someone else. Wanting to be with each other all the time, just by their side. You don’t even have to do anything, you just want to spend time with each other. Checking to see if they’re laughing at something you’ve just said and feeling an indescribable heartache when they’re not paying any attention.
Watching for the other to walk into a room, and when they finally arrive and smile at you, its like your whole body smiles back at them. It doesn’t matter if its at a party, a class or if they’re just visiting your dorm.
Wanting to be the only thing they see, wanting their heart and soul.
And when your other friends question or tease you about it, you always deny it, even if the redness of your cheeks say otherwise. And always having each others backs despite how much it might hurt.
“Darlin-I mean Y/n.”
“Did you just call her darling?”
“Wha-no. I didn’t!”
“Oh my god! Yes you did. You just called Y/n darling.”
“I didn-”
“Y/n, you heard that right?”
“Nope, I dunno what you guys are talking about.”
“thank you.”
Thinking about what it would be like to kiss them, what their lips would feel like against yours. How they would kiss you. Would it be soft and gentle or rushed? How their hands would feel on your skin or in your hair.
Awkward first dates turn into weekly movie dates as a couple, filled with making out more than watching the actual film and more pizza than you can both handle. Its spent laughing at cheesy rom-coms and Sweet Pea’s aversion to horror films.
You sneaking out the next morning, trying hard not to wake his roommate, despite him knowing you’re there. And Sweet Pea always asks the same question.
“Are you french exiting me?”
To which you always reply, “No, and I thought that wasn’t a word.”
“To you it is so I suppose I’ll let it go.”
You meeting his friends during the holidays, and them loving you. You and Toni talking about how hard college is, and Fangs telling you every single embarrassing Sweet Pea story, his favourite being the almost threesome with Toni and somebody else. Both Sweet Pea and Toni hate it when he tells that story, especially because he tells literally every single person he meets. Thankfully though, you find it funny but promise to not talk about it ever again.
He meets your family and friends the next holiday and it’s your tun to be embarrassed, although none of your stories can beat his though so you don’t feel so bad. You spend the week stealing kisses when no one’s around and making sly remarks about your aunt, uncle and their snotty kid, who’s older than you but acts like a spoilt 8 year old. It’s Sweet Pea that suggests the french exit one night after dinner and thats when you realize you love him.
He looks after you when you’re sick, and you do the same. You watch your favourite movies, cuddled up together under a mountain of blankets and tissues, despite protests of the other one getting sick. And when they inevitably do, the favour is returned. You don’t how you’re both not just constantly sick.
There’s arguments that feel like they won’t end and days that you just don’t want to end.
Shouting and crying and slamming of doors that always ends in long hugs and whispered apologies.
You graduate together, one straight after the other and the two of you are smiling the entire day. Toni, Fangs and your family have flown over to see you both graduate, and they’re equally proud of you both.
You get ready together but Sweet Pea still feels breathless when he see’s you. A small ‘wow’ escaping his lips as he watches you twirl around your room. He grabs your arm and spins you around, earning a surprised squeal from you.
You’re never far apart from each other the whole day, wanting to be next to each other at all times. And it comes in handy when Fangs gets drunk and you have to stop him telling the threesome story to your parents.
You made it! You did college! Well done! Now what though?
It’s time to go out into the real world and Sweet Pea feels like he did all those years ago at that party. Lost. He doesn’t know what he wants to do, where he’s going to live.
But he watches you sleeping peacefully beside him and he knows whatever he chooses it’ll be okay, because you’re there with him.
You figure your lives out together, making sure that the other is always a part of it. And after a while of working in some slightly stressful jobs, that aren’t really what you want to do but something you need to do to live, you save enough money to rent an apartment. It’s small, but it’ll do for now. And the two of you have fun searching for cheap furniture to fill it with. Nothing matches but its perfect and you don’t want it anyway else.
He cooks, you do the dishes and you dance in the kitchen when certain songs come on.
The song that were played at the party when you met and Sweet Pea can never remember the name of it so you always have to remind him.
“Darlin’, whats that song called again? You know which one I’m on about. La, la, la, la.”
“Make You Mine, Sweet Pea. And it’s 3am, go to sleep.”
“Yeah! Thats the one...hey Y/n. Whats it called again?”
“Make You Mine.”
“Already am baby.”
“You’re an idiot.”
The song you sang as you walked down the street together later that night, because he said something that reminded you of it.
“Take me to your best friends, I love you then, I’ll love you now!”
“What?”
“You were talking about your friend Fangs.” You say, now very embarrassed at your sudden outburst.
“His house is a bit far away but we can go if you want.” He replies making you laugh loudly.
When he gets back to his dorm the next morning, he makes a playlist, the first song in it being that one. He calls it ‘for y/n’, and he continues to add to it constantly.
It’s got the one that reminds him of you, and to this day he still tries to fit your name into and fails miserably but it still makes you laugh and thats why he continues does it.
That one song that played in the car on the way to getting groceries that he shout-sang for some reason and you both ended up sat in the parking lot for an extra ten minutes just singing.
It has your go-to karaoke song that you have a little dance routine made up for, that you occasionally still practice in the kitchen, just so your moves are the best they can be for karaoke.
He plays Make You Mine while proposing. What started as doing the dishes after dinner, ending in both of you crying while lying in a heap on the floor after you jumped on him.
And its played again as your first dance at your wedding, but again, what starts as a very sweet and serious dance ends in you doing the routine from your karaoke song.
He grabs your hand when everyone is too drunk to notice you’re both missing, pulling you through the endless corridors of the hotel you’re in.
“What are we doing?” You ask as you clutch your dress with the other hand.
“Do you know what a french exit is?” He replies, making you roll your eyes.
“I do yes. How do you know what one is?”
“Oh, a pretty girl showed me once.”
“And where’s this pretty girl now?”
“She’s married to some loser.” He shrugs making you glare at him.
“Hey, that ‘loser’ is my best friend. And I know for a fact that whoever is marrying him is the luckiest woman in the world.” You scold and he rolls his eyes.
He pulls you through the back door and the two of you stare the fence in front of you.
“I thought we could get out this way.” He sighs.
“We could always climb over it.” You say, squeezing his hand and sending him cheeky smile. “But you will have to help me.”
“Always.”
“Sweet Pea? Are you even paying attention?” Kyle asks, hitting the serpents arm gently. Sweet Pea blinks, staring at the group of boys stood around the ping pong table.
“Are you okay?” Another asks. “You kinda zoned out for a few minutes.”
“I-er. Yeah.” He shakes his head. “I’m gonna go get some air.” He says dazed. He places the cup gently on the table before walking away, he feels dizzy and he has no idea whats just happened.
But then he see’s you and everything falls into place.
Laughing with your friends, your head tilted, your nose scrunched up, your eyes screwed shut, and the whole world stops.
An entire future between the two of you waiting to be lived. A whole life waiting to happen.
He just has to talk to you.
So he takes a deep breath and slowly makes his way across the crowded room to where you’re stood.
It feels like the whole world has stilled as he looks at you, waiting patiently for you to finish your conversation with a dark haired girl, it looks purple in the lighting but he’s can’t be sure, and then he realizes that the hair colour of a stranger isn’t exactly the most important thing right now.
She’s the first to notice him, she glances between him and you before a small smile twitches at her lips, and within seconds she’s gone, taking the rest of the group with. You frown and watch as they leave, confused as to where they’re going.
Sweet Pea coughs awkwardly making you jump and turn around. The room goes quiet, the noise from the music and shouting falls away as he looks at you, a confused expression pulling softly at your features, as your gaze makes its way up to his face. The confusion is quickly replaced with a smile. Its bright and warm and it makes Sweet Pea smile in return.
“Hi.” You lean into him, trying to be heard over the music and Sweet Pea momentarily forgets how to breathe.
“Hi.” He replies, also leaning in. He’s trying so hard to play it cool, and at first it works, that is until he leans in too far and smacks his head off yours. “Shit sorry.” He says quickly, clutching his head while you do the same to your own.
He’s fucked it. He knows he has. He’s definitely fucked it.
“Its fine.” You laugh. “Don’t worry about it. What’s your name?”
“Sweet Pea.”
“Y/n.” You reply. “Do you want to get a drink?”

I’ll Handle This (8)
I’ve always wanted to write a sleepover/truth or dare fic, but I never could come up with a plot. This is my wish fulfillment.
Ao3 | FF.net
In Which Nino is Sus
“So what does one do at the beginning of a sleepover?” Asked Plagg. “Is it like it is in the movies?”
“Some things are similar,” Alya provided, digging through her duffel. “First, one must change into their pajamas.” She held up an oversized t-shirt and red flannel pants.
“Oh! I get it!” Plagg undid his button.
“What are you doing?” Asked Nino, looking meaningfully to the girls in the room.
“Changing?” And Plagg dropped his pants in one fluid motion.
Alya saw it coming and turned away with a laugh.
But Marinette caught an eyeful (as much as Adrien in boxer briefs could be considered an eyeful) before she too turned away with an ‘eep!’
“I change in front of people all the time,” Plagg explained. “As a model that is. Not my fault you’re all shy. I’ve got underwear on.”
“Well if Sunshine isn’t ashamed, then I’m not going to make a big deal out of it.” Alya stopped shielding her face, though she didn’t look directly at him.
Plagg peeled his shirts off next, eliciting another squeal from Marinette.
“I, for one, will be changing in the bathroom,” said Alya, PJs in hand.
Plagg bent over and ruffled through his bag, derrière within smacking distance to Marinette.
“I-I-I’ll join you,” said Marinette, scrambling to get her PJs.
Alya was already halfway out the door. “Wait your turn, M.”
And Marinette was forced to wait as Adrien stepped those long, beautifully toned legs into a pair of...oh, Ladybug spot patterned pants. Then he slipped on a shirt covering those perfect, sculpted abs.
The shirt was red, and had words sharpied onto it, but it wasn’t until he got it on and smoothed it out that she could read what it said.
“Ladybug’s sexiest fan.”
She laughed. Not a laugh of, ‘oh, that’s funny’ but a laugh of ‘why me God?’
Tumblr media
“Your turn, M!” Alya sang, coming into the room. Her eyes landed on Adrien. “Where did you get that shirt?? I need one!”
Plagg puffed out his chest. “Sorry Alya, this is a one of a kind piece! I made it myself!”
“It’s really good for being hand drawn!”
“Thanks!” He beamed.
From his bag, Adrien had to wonder when Plagg had the time to make such a thing.
Marinette excused herself to change, and immediately Alya and Nino whirled on him. “What was that??”
“What was what?”
“That strip tease! What the heck?!”
“Oh that? Well, when you have a bod like mine, you gotta flaunt it on occasion.”
“Sure Dude,” Nino raised a brow. “But like, we just talked last week about how you were having self confidence issues. Why the change?”
Plagg had forgotten about that conversation. Granted, he had tried not to listen to it, since it wasn’t a conversation for him...
“Well, you know how it is when you’re around people you trust.”
“You’ve got the hots for Marinette!” Alya blurted.
Plagg played bashful. “Well...maybe a little...”
She squealed in excitement, clapping her hands together. “Oh em gee! I’ve been waiting for this day for forever! You have to ask her out! She’ll say yes, I promise!”
“Oh, I know about her crush.” Plagg explained, “I just wanted to...encourage her to confess herself.”
Alya and Nino both went wide-eyed. “You knew? Since when?”
“And you didn’t tell me?” Nino asked, slightly hurt. “I thought I was your wingman.”
“It’s a recent thing.” At least for Adrien it was. “I haven’t really had to think things through. I’m just...having fun and flirting.” He quirked a smile. “I am flirting, right? I’m not coming off like a creep, right?”
“Oh no no,” Alya insisted. “You’re a natural! How did you find out?”
Plagg twirled a lock of hair close to his scalp. “I have my ways.”
Nino narrowed his eyes, the action going unnoticed by Plagg.
Marinette returned, wearing pink shorts and an oversized sweatshirt.
From Adrien’s point of view, she looked adorable, and he wished he could just pull her into a hug and snuggle up with her...maybe press a kiss to her temple.
“There you are, Princess. We missed you!” Plagg chirped.
Marinette blushed. “I was gone for like a minute.”
“Oh but it felt so much longer! Nino and Alya were making out the whole time! It was torture!”
“We did not!” Alya barked. “Don’t you lie to my girl!”
“Don’t listen to her,” Plagg insisted. “She was sucking the soul out of him.”
Alya gasped in mock horror. “You keep your vulgar rebellion away from my innocent baby!”
Plagg wrapped his arms around Marinette, pulling her towards him. “On the contrary, I think I’ll pull Marinette with me into the depths of my depravity!”
“Nooo!” Alya cried. “What horrors do you plan to subject her to?”
“Well, I know I can’t convince her to dress like me.”
“Over my dead body,” Marinette agreed, her face red hot.
“But perhaps she will sneak out of her house like me?” He leaned in closer to her ear and purred. “We can stay out all night doing who knows what?”
Marinette gave a full body shiver, wriggling away from him. “Uh, you don’t—I’m not very good at—surely they’ll notice—“
Plagg smiled to himself. God it was so funny seeing her so flustered.
“Alright,” said Alya, pulling him away. “Give her a break before she combusts.”
Nino watched with narrowed eyes, but they softened before Plagg could notice.
“So? What’s next on the agenda?” Asked Plagg, still in great spirits.
“Since this is a first sleepover for Adrien,” began Alya, with bravado, “I have an assemblage of traditional sleepover games. Including,” she slammed down a box. “Truth or dare.”
Nino and Marinette both moaned.
Plagg sat a little straighter at the reaction. “Oh, a game that causes suffering. Do tell!”
“You’ve never heard of truth or dare?” Asked Nino.
Plagg shook his head. “Never been to a sleepover, remember?”
“Yeah, but you’ve at least had to hear about it in movies or books, right?”
Plagg shrugged. “Maybe I just don’t remember. What are the rules?”
“Simple,” explained Alya. “On your turn, you get to pick between truth or dare. Dare is an action you must do, and truth is a confession you have to make. Once you do it, you get to come up with the next person’s truth or dare.”
“Oh yes, this sounds familiar now. What is the box for?”
“Suggestions.” She opened the lid to reveal two sets of cards. “I’m sure we can all come up with two or three really good truths or dares, but these are in case we run out.”
“Passes?” Asked Marinette.
“Everyone gets one pass.”
Plagg had to keep that in mind. While this game could be really fun and he could lie his way through most of it, he had the potential of ruining his master plan.
But these kids wouldn’t try to oust Adrien’s brand new crush on the same night they learned about it.
Right?
Alya set a bottle sideways on the floor.
“What’s that?” Plagg asked.
“Since we can’t play ‘Spin the Bottle’, we’ll use it as a player picker.”
“What’s ‘Spin the Bottle’?”
“A kissing game.” Marinette provided. “You spin the bottle, and whoever it lands on, you kiss.”
“Sounds spicy, but not a good game for just the four of us if you two are dating...” Plagg gestured between Alya and Nino.
“Now you get it!”
“So who goes first?”
“I’ll go, because I suggested the game.” Alya sang, spinning the bottle.
Plagg glanced at Marinette, who had her fingers crossed. Obviously hoping that she wouldn’t face Alya’s wrath.
The bottle slowed to a stop pointing at Nino.
“Narts…”
“Alright babe, Truth…or Dare?”
“Dare I guess.”
“Perfect! I dare you to shave your legs.”
“What!” Nino cried.
Plagg barked out a laugh. “Oh she got you good!”
“I’m not going to shave my legs!”
“You have to, it’s a dare.” Alya protested.
“Fine, I’ll do it later.”
“Nope. Right now, Mister. Hop to it!”
Nino groaned in defeat before rising to his feet. “Fine, I’m going.”
“Do you need help?”
“I know how to shave!” And Nino stormed off to the bathroom.
“That was a pretty extreme dare for our first round.” Said Marinette. “How are we going to beat it?”
“Oh the hair will grow back, and he never wears shorts. I could have dared him to shave his head. I’m sure there will be more amazing opportunities!” Alya sang.
“So, are we waiting for him before we keep going?” Asked Plagg.
“Might as well, don’t want him to feel left out.”
“So these dares...how extreme is extreme?” Plagg asked, curling his legs up underneath him.
Alya and Marinette shared a look, entertained on Alya’s end, and fear on Marinette’s.
“Well, we all have one pass...” mused Alya.
“Nothing physically detrimental or permanent!” Marinette objected. “Like a tattoo or piercing or something!”
“Pft, that leaves a whole lot of open space.”
“And nothing traumatic or emotionally detrimental.”
Plagg flapped his lips like a horse. “Now you’re being a party pooper.”
“Oh!” Said Alya with a snap. “Lila said you guys had a photoshoot yesterday, but she didn’t tell me anything else. She usually tells me all about it! What happened?”
Plagg chuckled. “Oh nothing in particular. I was just telling her about Magic.”
Alya groaned. “Oh don’t even get started on it. Ever since Nath introduced it to you guys, Nino won’t shut up about it! It’s ‘Blue Black’ this, and ‘tarmogoyf’ that. I’m glad you guys are all bonding, I am, I’m just so lost!”
“So you talked to Lila about that card game?” Marinette probed.
“Yeah, basically the whole time.” He sent her a wink on the sly. “I can’t imagine that would have given her a bad experience. I thought she was my friend...” he played sad.
Thankfully, Alya bought it. “Aww, Sunshine, maybe something else happened when you weren’t there. Don’t take it too harshly.”
“NINO MICHELE LAHIFFE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY RAZOR!?”
“IT'S FOR A DARE MOM! I’LL CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS!”
“THERE IS BLOOD ALL OVER THE TUB! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?”
“I’M SHAVING MY LEGS! I HAVE HAIRY ANKLES!”
“GIVE ME THAT! I’LL SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT!”
“MOOOOM I KNOW HOW TO SHAVE!!”
The three teens in the room sprawled on the floor, gasping for air and desperate not to laugh too loud.
Alya had tears in her eyes. “Oh my god he’s going to kill me.”
“We’ll plan a beautiful funeral for you.” Marinette teased.
Eventually, Nino rejoined the group, hiking his pants up so his legs were visible. “Ba-BAM!”
Alya dragged a hand up his calf. “Damn babe, you clean up nice!”
“Don’t get used to it.”
“Now you know my struggle.” She sassed back.
“Al, I never gave you a hard time about unshaved legs. If you can put up with mine, I can certainly put up with yours.”
Plagg turned to Marinette. “It’s certainly fascinating what couples will argue about, Hmm?”
“Uh, y-yeah. It’s funny...”
“Alright Nino, your turn to spin the bottle.” Alya gestured.
Nino cracked his knuckles. “Don’t mind if I do!” And he gave it a whirl.
It landed on Marinette.
“Truth or Dare?”
“Umm...truth?”
Nino smiled fiendishly, a smile that was uncharacteristic for him. “Okay. What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve done to get your crush to notice you?”
Marinette gasped in horror. “NINO!”
“You could pass.”
“And then for the rest of the game I live in terror that I’m going to get something worse? No.”
Plagg leaned in closer, head in his hands, trying and failing not to look extremely curious. “Soo?”
“So what?”
“What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve done to get your crush to notice you?”
Her face colored brightly, all the way up to the tips of her ears.
“We’re all friends here, M.” Assured Alya. “And you don’t have to say who it is.”
Finally, Marinette exhaled slowly and admitted, “there’s been a lot. And I’m not sure if I can pick just one above the others...but the least incriminating would be the voicemail.”
Alya chuckled. “Ah, the voicemail.”
Marinette covered her eyes with both hands, but continued. “It was normal at first. I rambled a little bit through it, stammered it out…just asked him if he wanted to go to the movies, and then…instead of hanging up like a normal, sane person. I threw my phone, while it was still recording. I then proceeded to say a bunch of stuff to Alya, like ‘I couldn’t have just said ‘blah blah blah’ and the phone recorded the whole thing.”
“And he didn’t say anything about it?” Asked Nino.
“It gets better,” Alya smirked.
“No…because he never heard it…I stole his phone and deleted it.”
“YOU STOLE HIS PHONE?!” Plagg shouted. He was 1) Shocked that such an occurrence happened around him. He was pretty diligent around Adrien’s belongings. God knows the amount of times Lila had tried to rifle through his bag. And 2) Shocked and delighted that Marinette had the guts to do something so radical. “That’s amazing, Marinette!”
“It’s not amazing!” Marinette lamented. “I’m a phone thief!”
“She stole mine too,” smiled Alya. “She’s a scoundrel.”
“I am! I am a scoundrel!”
“So what did the voicemail say?” Asked Plagg, much too invested in this story.
Marinette blushed even brighter, pulling her shoulders up to her ears. “You can’t ask that! You have to wait your turn!”
“Oh clever. I see. Well then, I’ll hold on to that for now.” He chuckled. “It’s your turn to spin the bottle.”
Marinette relaxed slightly, thrilled that she had made it through the question with minor embarrassment (and her secret crush unaware, as far as she knew.) She spun the bottle with gusto.
It landed on Plagg.
“Oh boy.” Plagg winced.
“Ha! Truth or dare?”
“Hmm…I’ll do a dare.”
“I dare you to call Principle Damocles, pretending to be your father.”
“Oh my god yes!” Cheered Alya. “Anyone have his number?”
“I do, for student council purposes. Best not use my phone then.”
Plagg took out Adrien’s phone, unlocking it, and handed it over to Marinette.
She dialed the number. “All you have to do is start the call.”
“What should I say?”
“Don’t get anyone in trouble.” Marinette warned.
“Oh, and don’t give him a reason to call back and follow up.”
“Okay…I got an idea.” He hit the call button.
After a few heart pounding seconds, he answered. “Hello, Principle Damocles here!”
“Yes, quite, this is Gabriel Agreste.” Plagg said, in his perfectly flawless impersonation.
The other three in the room had to hold their breath to avoid laughing out loud.
“Ah, Mr. Agreste! To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“I assure you, monsieur, this conversation will not be a pleasure. Do you think you’re a good administrator?”
“I uh…”
“No stammering, I hate stammering!”
“Yes! I think I’m very accomplished!”
“My son came home with a cold today.” Plagg narrowed his eyes, putting anger in his voice.
“Oh well…I’m very sorry to hear that, sir. But after all, this is a school with many children, they’re bound to pass colds along.”
“How is your sanitation? Do you regularly clean tables and desks?”
“I-well, not usually the desks. The floors, yes, and the bathrooms…”
“And the air system? Do you keep good air flow?”
“The courtyard is open air, so yes, there should be—“
“Is your heater running?”
“It should be! It’s March after all!”
“Well then, you better go catch it.” And he hung up.
As soon as he pulled the phone away, all three of his friends were on the floor, crying with laughter.
“OH MY GOD! THAT WAS THE BEST!”
“Flawless setup, flawless execution.” Alya giggled.
Marinette rubbed the tears from her cheeks. “Man, your impersonation of your dad is spot on.”
“I have a lot of practice.” Plagg shrugged. Plagg’s impression in his own body was pretty good, but combined with Adrien’s vocal chords, it was just too good. Almost too much power.
The game continued onward. With the dares becoming even more crazy. Nino ingested a random concoction of sauces Alya had brewed in the kitchen, while Alya displayed her acting prowess in pretending to be a baby being born. The truths were pretty good, as Nino had confessed to having a secret Gumby fetish, and Marinette had to admit that she had accidentally peed her pants at a water park last summer.
Then Alya spun the bottle, only for it to land on Plagg.
“Dare.”
Alya grinned manically, and Marinette felt a chill creep down her spine. Alya had a tendency to go too far, and this would be one of those times where she tried to help Marinette out.
“Adrien Agreste…I dare you…to kiss…Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”
Plagg had seen it coming a mile away. It was so predictable. And yet he had been considering what to do. He still had a pass. Kissing humans, while he was human or not, was not up there on his list of things he enjoyed.
Oh, what the hell. It wasn’t his body!
Marinette’s mouth dropped open in shock. “You can’t make him do that! Adrien, you can pass! I won’t be offend—“
Then she was laying on her back, with Adrien’s wonderful, perfect frame pressing her against the floor. His lips were on hers, full, and absent of any hesitation.
Someone wolf-whistled.
Before she could even think of how to respond, he clamored off of her, and sat up. “That good enough for you?”
“Damn, I wish you had warned me so I could have got a picture!”
“No way! What happens at Nino’s stays at Nino’s!”
“You good down there, girl?”
Marinette let out a string of consonants.
“You broke her,” Nino mused.
“Worth it.” He slyly gazed back to his overnight bag, where Adrien was hiding for the evening. Only his eyes, glowing green slits, full of anger were visible.
Plagg just smirked, and then winked.
—
Marinette and Alya left at 9. Marinette because she had to ‘wake up early’ and Alya because she wanted to ‘get homework done’. Plagg saw it for what it really was. They were going to gossip about his little stunt for a while.
“Wanna play UMS?” Nino asked, once the girls had left.
“You know it!”
Nino gestured him forward, letting him lead the way to Nino’s bedroom.
But upon entering the bedroom, Plagg heard the door close, heard a bang, felt an extreme pain in his head, and then blacked out.
When he awoke, the room was dark.
He was sitting in a chair, Nino’s computer chair, with his hands and feet bound with duct tape.
The pain in his head swelled again, as a bright light was flashed in his face.
“Uh, what the hell?” He grouched.
“Are you okay dude?” Nino asked, with sympathy.
“Besides the concussion? Just peachy.”
Nino sighed in relief. “Oh good.” Then his voice took on an edge he had never heard before. “Now, who are you, and what have you done with the real Adrien?”
Plagg blinked once, twice. “Pardon?”
“You heard me. Where is my best friend?”
“I...don’t know what you mean? I’m just me, Nino?”
“Oh no no no,” anger creeped into his voice. “You may have everyone fooled, but I know better! Marinette thinks you’re having a crisis, Alya says the fame and fortune have gone to your head, but I know Adrien! And I know that you aren’t him!”
Still slightly shocked, Plagg had to ask, “what makes you say that?”
“Evidence A: you’ve been wearing sunglasses to hide your weird cat-pupils. And I know they aren’t colored contacts, because Adrien lamented to me that he couldn’t wear colored contacts with his astigmatism!”
Plagg blinked again. “Shit dude, got me there.”
“Evidence B: at dinner, Marinette offered an array of macrons, and instead of your hard and true first choice of passion fruit, you went with pumpkin spice! You never went for the passion fruit!”
“I just...wanted to be adventurous?”
“Evidence C: the kiss.”
“Of course.”
“Even if Adrien was head over heels madly in love with Marinette, he is far too meek to kiss her like you did tonight.”
“Facts.”
“So, I’ll ask you one more time. Who are you, and where’s the real Adrien?”
Plagg considered this for a moment, but only a moment before answering. “Yeah, you got me. I’m not Adrien.”
Nino pumped his fist in victory. “I knew it! I told the girls but they didn’t believe me!”
“Adrien’s in my overnight bag.”
Before Nino could check himself, Adrien came spiraling out to reprimand him. “Plagg! You can’t just give away our situation like that! What happened to secrecy? Secret identities?!”
Plagg shrugged. “He obviously had me figured out. Mortals are particularly stubborn when they know a truth.”
Adrien didn’t argue anymore as he was scooped out of the air and crushed to Nino’s chest. “Dude! I’ve been so worried!”
“I’m okay. A little traumatized, but okay.” Adrien squeaked out.
Nino held him in his hands. “What happened? Why are you—hey, you’re a Kwami!”
“The Black Cat Kwami,” Plagg clarified.
“So that means...you’re Chat Noir!”
“Yep. And now you’re the only other human that knows.”
“I figured Carapace could keep the secret.” Plagg hummed. “Wayzz certainly trusts him enough.”
“But Hawkmoth knows who Carapace is...or was...”
“And he hasn’t bothered me since,” Nino offered. “I don’t think he cares?”
“See? Everything is copacetic. Now unbind me mortal, or face the consequences.”
“What consequences?” Asked Adrien with a laugh. “You’re in my body. You can’t do anything!”
“I can still cast my lip chapping spell.”
There was a brief knock at the door before Mrs. Lahiffe entered. It was enough time for Nino to hide Adrien in his hands.
“Alright boys, dad has to wake up early tomorrow, so make sure to keep it down!”
“MOOOOM! I’m in the middle of an interrogation!”
“Well, interrogate quietly, honey.” And she closed the door.
“Okay, one of you, explain what the heck is going on?”
Adrien held his tail. “It’s my fault. I pissed Plagg off and he punished me.”
“Sounds an awful lot like his fault, dude.”
Plagg scoffed. “Fine, I’ll take responsibility for this amazing master plan! Adrien was complaining about his unrequited love life, his poor relationship with his father, and Lila’s constant sexual harassment. So I told him that could fix it all if he agreed to it.”
“And the solution was to...swap bodies?”
“I didn’t know!” Adrien defended. “I thought...well I don’t know what I thought. He just said he would fix it. I guess I didn’t imagine it would be this...”
“In my defense...” started Plagg, “it is really fun to mess with Adrien.”
Nino mostly ignored him. “So what has to happen to get you to switch back?”
“Well, we have to get Marinette to confess to me, making our crushes mutual.”
“Ah, I see.” Nino said sagely. “That makes sense. What else?”
“I have to get Lila to leave me alone. Like, permanently.”
“I guess I didn’t realize she was that much of a problem. I know you mentioned that she was harassing you...”
“That’s not even the half of it. Marinette told me, Chat Noir me, that Lila has been actively threatening her.”
Nino frowned. “Threatening her with what?”
“Taking all of her friends and me away from her. I got Lila to lay off by allowing her to model with me, but since Plagg and I swapped bodies, she’s threatened to go back on our deal. If Plagg can get her to drop the whole thing, that would be ideal. But to fulfill the contract, he has to get her to leave me alone.”
“And she’s been falling for it, hook, line, and sinker.” Said Plagg, with pride.
“What did you do?”
“I just explained Magic: The Gathering to her.”
“...and? I mean, I know it’s a game that’s pretty hard to visualize in your head.”
“I explained it badly, and gave her no chance to talk. For about four hours.”
“Oh! So you’re annoying her?”
“He’s annoying everyone.” Adrien clarified.
“That’s how I got to school today. Gabriel put the house on lockdown and I serenaded him until he let me out.”
“You were serious about that?” Nino chuckled.
“Naturally!”
“Wait, so the last thing is your dad?”
“Yeah, Plagg has to fix our relationship.”
“WOOF! That’s a tall order! Well, I better get used to having a Kwami as a best friend.”
“Oh come on, Nino!” Plagg groaned, “have some faith in me, dude.”
“Dude, I have all the faith in you. But I also know Adrien’s tyrant of a father. Unless you do brain surgery, you aren’t changing his mind.”
Plagg seemed to consider this. “Hmm, brain surgery...”
“No, NO!” Adrien reprimanded.
“I’m just kidding. I know it’s going to be tough, but I know a thing or two about manipulation and lust for control. Gabriel is cracking. It’s more and more evident every time I push him. And once he cracks, he’ll listen.”
“Is there anything I can do to help?” Asked Nino.
“Yes, but not right now. I have a great use for you soon, Nino Lahiffe.”
“Don’t talk like that,” Adrien reprimanded. “It’s freaky.”
“Oooo someone’s still bitter about not getting to kiss his crush~!”
“I’M NOT BITTER!” Adrien yowled.
“Bitter like an old grapefruit! I got to kiss pigtails and you’re grumpy!”
“SHUT UP!”
“Are you guys always like this?” Nino asked.
“Sometimes, when Plagg is being annoying.”
“Which is often. I am a creature of mischief and chaos.”
“Which explains a lot…” Nino murmured.
“Hey, are you going to teach me to play UMS or not?!”

June Contest Submission #3: Saved On A Rainy Day
Words: ca. 5,500 Setting: mAU Lemon: lime CW: None
Anna stares out the window, her reflection staring back at her on the rain-covered glass. Huddled in a fortress of blankets, she watches the droplets slowly fall to the windowpane before a flash of light catches her attention. Looking out to the front yard now, Anna waits for something to happen again, her blue gaze drawn to the swirling black and grey clouds that seem to stretch endlessly across the sky. Then a heavy roll of thunder makes the window rattle. Unable to suppress her panic and fear, the young girl parts from her blankets and clumsily drops to the floor. She runs as fast as she can to her older sister’s bedroom door and opens the door.
“Anna?” Elsa’s disturbed tired voice groans out from under her own blankets when Anna invades her bed space. Like the good big sister she is, she sits up to look down at the 5-year-old joining her and opens her arms for Anna to fall into.
“Is it the storm?” She questions, only to get no verbal reply. It isn’t the warmth Anna is looking for, just the comfort. So, Elsa gives a small yawn and wraps her arms around Anna before laying back down into the pillows. Another roll of thunder rumbles by, ignored by Elsa while Anna holds on tighter until Elsa’s small hand gently runs through her ginger hair. The trembling ebbs away, as does the sound of thunder, allowing Anna to finally relax and loosen her grip around Elsa.
__________________________________
Elsa, now 18 and feeling more isolated from her family than ever, stares gloomily at the rainy world outside. Part of her had expected Anna to already be knocking on her door before the thunder really started going, but her closed door has remained a wall since lunch. After her small freak-out session this morning where an anxiety attack had gotten away from her, she doesn’t blame them for keeping their distance. Space had become her greatest friend and most formidable enemy. Anna used to keep these anxieties and fears at bay, but as of recently, she’s been making them worse.
She doesn’t know what’s wrong with her. One morning, after waking up to Anna in her bed from a storm she had completely slept through, everything just kind of changed. Something strange and different fluttered in her heart, something that made her anxious and happy at the same time, which also made her afraid. Emotions kept coming in intense amounts, and what she had felt waking up to none other than her sister, she would rather not feel again.
Sudden knocking on her door jerks Elsa from her thoughts. She whips her head away from the window to stare at the door as if she might be able to see through it if she stared hard enough. However, that vision to determine who might be behind the door wouldn’t come. If it’s her parents, she wants to stay quiet in case they plan to have another long discussion, but if it’s Anna… Well, there’s just no way she can refuse the younger girl on a night like this. Even with her emotions the way they are.
So, Elsa gets to her feet and hesitantly treads over to the door, where she turns off the light switch nearby and slowly opens it. Just as she does so, she finds Anna starting to walk away, her head hung in disappointment.
“Anna? Is it the storm?” Her voice spooks the girl, who jumps away and then quickly turns back to Elsa’s door while her blankets attempt to trip her. Elsa opens the door wider so she could reach forward and catch her sister if need be.
“I wasn’t sure you were still awake.”
“Since when do you knock during storms?” Erasing her gloomy look, Elsa fixes Anna with a sly smirk and leans against her door frame. Something about that must have either caught Anna off guard or… something, for before she could say anything, she actually trips forward. Like Elsa was prepared for, she reaches out to catch the young teen in her cold sleeveless arms.
“Sorry…” Regardless of her clumsy self, Anna gives an embarrassed smile, her gaze cast away.
“Don’t worry about it. I’ve always got you. Now, come on in, before-” The loud rumble of thunder she had been waiting for interrupts her. The rain seems to pound harder against the house afterward, too, making the hallway light flicker. In an instant, Anna has abandoned her blanket and is clinging on tight to Elsa.
Without another word, Elsa pulls her sister into the room and gently closes the door behind herself with her foot, completely disregarding the blanket. Anna is trembling against Elsa, her fingers almost painfully digging into her sides. It isn’t new for Anna to cry in moments like these, but it always makes Elsa worry for her. When she drops back onto her bed, Elsa softly caresses the young girl’s hair just in the way that would get her to start calming down.
“Hey, it’s okay. We’re going to be okay.” Elsa’s calming words successfully get Anna to stop trembling so much, but they don’t do anything to stop her crying. This is just going to be one of those really bad nights for her… Curse the awful weather here. Not that Elsa minded any of this. She has gotten so used to it that it would be a rough night for her as well if she doesn’t know that Anna is okay. She hates to see Anna in so much distress. Another loud rumble and the silent crack of light outside her windows, and Anna is clinging tight to her again.
“So loud…” The young girl mumbles against Elsa’s stomach, making it hard not to smile at least a little bit. Anna is so cute… Their parents don’t care so much for what they call a “childish fear”, and while Elsa can see why it could be frustrating for them, she would support Anna no matter what her fears are.
“Would you like me to sing to you?” As she offers the suggestion, Anna’s beautiful blue eyes peek up at her with blurry excitement. Anna lets go and allows Elsa to sit up against the wall, so she could slide over next to her that way and pull the blankets up over them. Only after snugly wrapping her arm around Anna and pulling her sister in close to her, does she take a semi-nervous deep breath.
“Where the Northwind meets the sea…” The more she continues with the melody, the easier it is to get comfortable with. Her singing is something she reserves only for the most special of crowds, so she couldn’t help being nervous, but as that special crowd is only Anna, it’s worth doing. That fact is pleasantly reminded to her as soon as her sister’s tears finally come to a stop, as do her eyelids drop. By the time she finishes the lullaby, the young girl is out like the power. However, her own heart has only continued rising in rate.
She presses a cold kiss to Anna’s forehead, wishing she didn’t want to kiss any lower than that. The action produces a soft smile from her sleeping sister, but one that fades as Anna slips into a deeper sleep. Elsa is left staring at the foggy windows until exhaustion finally claims her.
_______________________________________
“Anna, come get your dirty socks out of the living room!!” At Elsa’s irritated demand, Anna looks away from her phone to the open bedroom door. She bites her lip and reluctantly slips off of her bed to do as her sister asks. There are a lot more socks out here than she thought there would be, almost like she isn’t the only person leaving them out here. Anna casts a suspicious look over in Elsa’s direction, only for it to be unnoticed as the older woman is taking their collective laundry to the small washer in this overpriced apartment.
After gathering all of the socks she could into her arms, Anna follows her into the tight laundry room. Elsa slides back against the wall so Anna could dump the socks into the washer and then reaches past her to close the lid and start the machine.
“Do you think we should wait until the morning to do laundry? It looks like it’s going to storm outside.”
“You always say that.”
“I do not!”
The two wrestle to get out the laundry room door first, only Elsa successfully getting out with the younger woman dropped clumsily at her feet.
“Yeah, you do. You’re just a big clumsy chicken.” Getting mocked like this, Anna somewhat would rather stay on the floor than accept her sister’s hand of help. “Oh, come on. You know I’m just teasing you.” Reluctantly, Anna takes Elsa’s hand and lets herself be pulled up off the floor and into a warm hug. It lasts barely more than a second, as they always do nowadays, but it’s the thought that makes Anna’s heart gush.
“Whatever. It hasn’t stormed for a really long time is all I’m saying. When it hits, it’s going to hit hard! I feel like you aren’t as worried as I am…”
“That’s because I’m not worried. How about some hot cocoa? We can watch a movie, so you can relax.” Elsa’s hand rubs a comforting circle on Anna’s back as she leads her to the small couch a few feet away. When Anna looks over at the large window at the far wall near the front door, her sister attempts to block her sight of the horrible storm quickly brewing. Maybe that’s for the better. If she catches a glimpse of the trees dangerously swaying out there and the power lines shaking in the wind, there’s no way she’d be able to relax.
“Fine…”
“Good. You just pick out a movie and I’ll start making the cocoa.” With that, Elsa leaves her side to pull the blinds over the window and then walks into the kitchen. Anna sighs, getting down onto her knees to scootch over to the TV and scan what movies they have. A little bit of horror, some chick flicks, and of course, a large array of Disney and Pixar movies.
Only by the time the microwave buzzes, does Anna find the right movie. A personal favorite of hers since she was a child: Toy Story. Elsa isn’t as big a fan of these kinds of movies as she is, or at least that’s what she says, but every time Anna puts on one of the movies, there she is watching it with her.
“Have you picked a movie yet?” Elsa calls out from the kitchen.
“Yep! Putting it in right now!” As Anna does so, she can hear her sister quickly walking down the hall behind her, likely to grab a blanket or two. After the title screen pops up on the TV, Anna meanders herself over to the couch just in time for Elsa to return with the blankets and drop them onto her lap. Then Elsa disappears into the kitchen to retrieve the cocoa.
It takes a moment for them to get situated and comfy, both wrapped in the large fluffy blanket Elsa had grabbed from her room, with Anna leaning into Elsa’s arms without hindering her sister from seeing the movie or enjoying her cocoa. Then they watch in silence once the movie plays. Well, as silent as they could be when making each other giggle. A few dumb comments there, some inside jokes there…
Eventually, with both empty mugs of cocoa on the floor beside the couch, Anna is fast asleep in Elsa’s arms. Without needing to sit up to drink their beverage, they had laid lengthwise on the couch, meaning Anna got the best pillows while watching and Elsa had to deal with stray ginger hairs making her chin itch. All in all, it’s still very worth it to hold her little sister so tightly when the storm outside only gets worse. She almost falls asleep herself, but now that the movie is over and the title screen is muted, a loud boom of thunder wakes Anna from her sleep.
“We’re gonna die!!!” Anna sits up with her hands over her ears, a wild panicked look on her face.
“We’re not going to die.” Elsa tries to pull Anna back down by wrapping her arms around the girl’s waist, but it takes another moment of Anna registering that the world isn’t crumbling around her before she lays back down. “Don’t worry, we’re okay.” Her soft voice slowly eases Anna’s fear and lulls her back into a tired state. As if on cue, the moment Elsa kisses Anna’s head, the power on the TV flickers out, leaving them in pitch darkness.
About to hyperventilate, Anna presses herself closer to Elsa, so desperately wanting to believe that they’ll be okay. Elsa knows the drill with Anna and this situation already, so one of her arms tightly holds Anna against her, and the other reaches into her pocket to find her phone. Once pulling it out, Elsa turns on the flashlight to give Anna some comfort that the world is still perfectly there in front of them. Except it wasn’t.
Haha, just kidding.
“Hey, I’m going to get up and grab the candles, okay?” As Elsa starts to get up, Anna holds onto her sister’s arm like it’s the only lifeline she has. “You’ll be okay for a few minutes without me. Here, take my phone. I’ll grab a flashlight from my bedroom.” Trading Elsa’s arm for her phone, Anna reluctantly lets her go. Now huddled alone in a cocoon of the blanket, all Anna can hear or think is the sound of hard rain battering the outside window like a beckoning to show her the ruins that lay just on the other side.
Wanting to at least attempt to get her fears off of her mind, Anna turns on Elsa’s phone, only to be discouraged by that idea when a pin lock shows up on the screen. Part of her wonders if she could try randomly putting in birthdays or important dates, but before she can try, the home screen loads. The phone camera must have accidentally recognized her face as Elsa’s. How unfortunate for her sister.
Without wifi, there isn’t any looking at social media, but she knows for a fact that Elsa’s gallery has to be filled to the brim with stupid memes. It has to be with all the screenshots Anna gets sent on the daily of things Elsa thinks Anna would like to see. However annoying that could be, it’s so sweet of Elsa to be thinking of her so often. When Anna pulls up the gallery of photos, she’s more than surprised to find much more than memes. Pictures of Anna herself when she isn’t looking pepper throughout the mass of screenshots and pieces of gay fanart of ships Anna doesn’t recognize. Really good pictures actually. They’re very aesthetically pleasing, but why?
Before Anna can go any deeper into her successfully distracting browse, Elsa’s footsteps panic her of being caught. So, she quickly turns off the phone again and sits up to look over the couch at Elsa, who holds a small tub of candles and a flashlight in one of her hands.
“Found them. You okay?”
“Y- yeah.” It must have been suspicious that Anna is just suddenly calm because Elsa gives her a once-over with a skeptical look. “What?”
“Nothing. Help me set these up then, won’t you?”
Anna nods and wiggles out of her blanket cocoon. Should she ask about the pictures? She wouldn’t want to out herself for breaching Elsa’s privacy, and it isn’t like the pictures are hurting anyone. Maybe she should just be quiet about it and later send subtle selfies to add to her sister’s collection. Is that creepy? Elsa seems to catch Anna lost in thought and gently pokes her arm with a candle before setting it down near the TV.
“What are you thinking about?”
“Oh. Just the storm. Sounds really nasty outside, almost like someone knew this would happen.” Anna’s sass stops Elsa from pressuring with another pressing question.
“Fine. You were right. Happy now?” Elsa lights the candle and grabs another to light on a small table in the middle of the living room, Anna trailing after her to put one in the bathroom just beside the laundry room.
“A little bit, but I wish I weren’t.”
“It isn’t all bad. We still have each other, board games, and I downloaded a bunch of music on my phone.” Anna hums, unconvinced that anything good could come of this storm. “Don’t be so stubborn. One day, you’re going to be caught in a storm without me, and then what are you going to do?”
“Lay on the ground and cower until you find me.”
“Anna…” Elsa sounds disappointed, but Anna could see the smile on her face. “You’re going to have to get over this fear one day. Storms are a part of life, and while they can be sudden and destructive, they can also bring about something beautiful!” Doubtful of this, Anna hums again and goes back to the living room to hold the candle placed on the TV stand. The light is lowly comforting, as is the sweet cinnamon smell it gives.
“Like what?” Elsa joins her on the floor, sitting crisscrossed in front of her. For a moment, she hesitates to respond to the question, like the first thing that popped into her mind wouldn’t sound quite right.
“Rainbows! And the heavy amount of rain is healthy for grass and plants to grow.”
“How could something so loud and terrifying bring about something so wonderful…?”
This time, Elsa doesn’t answer for an even longer time, her gaze lost on Anna’s face. It’s hard to tell, but in the close firelight, it almost looks like she’s blushing. Slowly, one of Elsa’s hands reaches up to Anna’s face to brush away the loose strands of her hair that threaten to fall into her mouth or catch in her eye. Somehow, the moment feels intimate. Alone in the dimly lit darkness, with only the sound of rain and quiet thunder between them. It’s a silly thought, but Anna almost expects Elsa to kiss her.
“The earth is a very confusing and wonderful place, that’s how.” But she doesn’t, obviously. Elsa retracts herself from beside Anna and stands to walk back into the hallway.
“Where are you going?”
“I’m going to grab a board game. Anything you prefer?” Anna thinks for a moment before reaching over to the couch and pulling the blankets down onto the floor.
“I don’t want to play board games.”
“Don’t be so stubborn, Anna, we’re going to-”
“No, I mean, I want to sleep. Isn’t it late?” Elsa goes quiet again, concerning Anna until the woman finally reappears behind the couch. “What is it?”
“You want to sleep during a storm? Since when?” The whole danger of being asleep when a natural disaster could kill them both doesn’t feel so present when she thinks about laying beside Elsa again. Her sister isn’t really that much bigger, or even stronger, than her, but she still makes Anna feel so safe. The way Elsa can just soothe her mind with just her voice and the gentle touch of her fingers…
“I’m just feeling tired again. You’re right, maybe there’s nothing to be so afraid of.” How is she supposed to say that without making things weird though? It probably isn’t weird at all, but the way she describes it in her head doesn’t sound right. Elsa looks skeptical as she leans over the back of the couch.
“Okay… Well, would you like to sleep out here or in your bedroom?”
“Oh, is your bedroom not an option anymore?” Elsa’s uncertain expression instantly turns into a smirk, a clear indication that she now sees right through Anna’s “not afraid anymore” tactic.
“Well, I’m not going to light any candles for you in there, so it’s going to be pretty dark. Are you sure you can handle that?” Anna rolls her eyes and stands, the blankets bunched into her arms.
“As long as your arms are around me, I can handle anything.” The soft reply works far better in her favor than some rude comeback, for Elsa goes very quiet again. Even without seeing her face, Anna can imagine she has turned all shades of red by now. She found out long ago how to get this kind of reaction from her sister, and while she isn’t exactly sure why she acts like this, it’s always more fun to tease her this way.
She’s only overdone it once, but the result stuck with her enough to be more careful. It was when they were both still just teens. They were playing a very competitive game on the Xbox and Anna was losing. Elsa, a not so graceful winner, was teasing her about it, and Anna practically smothered the poor older girl with both physical and verbal affection. She may have won the next round, but at what cost when Elsa disappeared into her room with some sort of panic attack and didn’t come back out until the next day.
Anna walks over to Elsa’s bedroom door and stands beside it to wait for approval. A little slow to join her, Elsa timidly opens the door and allows Anna to go through with the blankets first. It’s definitely much darker in here than Anna expected, but it would make sense with the power out and the curtains pulled tight over her window. As soon as Anna finds the bed and flops over on it, she leaves the blankets and goes to find the window.
“Anna, what are you doing?” Elsa’s exasperated voice sounds from far behind her as does the click of the bedroom door closing.
“I’m going to open the curtains.”
“Why? So you can jump awake at every flash of lightning? Not tonight. You want to go to bed, we’re going to bed.”
Hand on one of the curtains anyways, Anna lifts the curtain just a bit to look outside. The storm hasn’t gotten any better. From what she could see of behind the apartment complex, small tree branches are littered over the parked cars, most only doing minor damage while one large branch has pierced through the windshield of an unfortunately new-looking car. A loud crack can be heard above before the bright flash of white illuminates herself and what it could of the room for just a moment.
Anna jumps back into Elsa’s waiting arms, her heart pounding fearfully in her chest as thunder fills the room. She turns in the hold to hug tight onto Elsa, hiding her face in the crook of Elsa’s neck. While one of Elsa’s arms hugs her back tightly, the other closes the curtain again. In darkness once more, Anna is guided back towards the bed with now two comforting arms holding her protectively.
Only when they’re on the bed, surrounded by a thick comforter, and Elsa loosens her grip to wrap them both in the large blanket, does Anna find relaxation again. The smell of her sister and the gentle feeling of her breath on her shoulder is just the right distraction and nostalgia to make her feel sleepy.
“Is this comfortable for you?” She whispers drowsily, unsure if Elsa is comfortable too or just being polite for her scared little sister.
“Mm, could be worse,” Elsa murmurs back, sounding just as tired. Her hands have become loose grips on Anna’s shirt, now just limp on her back.
“Would you like me to move?” Without needing an answer, Anna starts to shift and readjust her weight on Elsa’s body until she’s lying mostly beside her with one leg draped over one of Elsa’s and her arms wrapped tight around Elsa’s shoulders.
“…This is worse.” Elsa groans and starts to move to fix the problem herself. She rewraps both arms around Anna and pulls her back on top before rolling onto her side. Now Anna’s face is half-buried in her sister’s tits, but that’s fine because she’s being held so tightly that she never wants to be let go. “Much better. This good for you, too?”
“Mhmm.” Completely prepared to sleep like this, Anna is dismayed to feel Elsa leaning back.
“Oh, sorry.”
“No, no, it’s fine, I was-” Anna’s kind-of-protest is cut off by her surprise more so than the action when gentle lips come in contact with her own. They don’t stay very long, and could easily be ignored if either just says something, but the silence that draws on in the dark makes it much tenser.
“I- Sor… Sorry, I th- thought.. I didn’t think it was- y- your cheek.” Wait- what did she think? Elsa’s nervous stuttering makes it confusing.
“You… did or didn’t think you were kissing my cheek? I mean, it doesn’t matter. Let’s just go to sleep.” The room goes quiet as Elsa pulls her arms away from Anna, making all their attempts to be comfortably intertwined with each other a waste of time when she rolls onto her other side. With a sigh, Anna scoots herself close against Elsa’s back, her arm innocently draping over her waist. Unfortunately, just as she does so, Elsa moves even farther away, and when Anna goes to reach for her, she’s gone.
The sound of footsteps is barely audible underneath the hard rainfall and the thunder. Anna sits up when the door to the bedroom opens and Elsa leaves the room, the door staying open just a crack. A little afraid to be alone in this dark room with the storm just behind the window a few feet away, she lays back down and pulls the comforter over herself to hide in the massive blanket.
She can’t sleep, not like this. Her eyes are wide open to the dark surroundings, wondering if she should go after Elsa or stay for worry of making it worse. All those pictures in her sister’s phone… and then Elsa’s weird phrasings when talking about the storm, and the weird way she reacts to Anna’s affection… No, it has to be some coincidence, right? Elsa doesn’t like her that way. She can’t! And yet, it would make so much sense. Anna feels confused and oblivious, like this whole thing has gone on far longer than she realizes.
What does she do? How is she supposed to respond? She doesn’t feel disgusted by this revelation, but it’s more strange to think about than she’s used to. No matter what, she doesn’t want to lose her sister. Regardless of how Elsa feels about her, Anna doesn’t want to live in a world where she can’t see Elsa’s face or hear her laugh or sleep in her bed or…
Anna’s heart skips a beat. Oh. Is it possible she feels the same way as Elsa? That thought puts an anxious pit in her stomach that only gets worse with how she can hear the things in Elsa’s room shift from the next deep roll of thunder. Would that make things better or worse for them? Well, Anna being the most chaotic of the two, she figures there are only a couple of ways to find out, and tonight’s the perfect opportunity for one of those ways. Well, perfect is overselling, but if she doesn’t do it like the courageous coward she is, then she would never do it and never pursue finding out.
Like a rabbit obliviously walking into a trap, Elsa quietly walks back into the room, her face refreshed with water. She closes the door behind herself once more and walks over to the bedside.
“Sorry that I left like that. I just needed to cool off for a second.” Elsa was gone much longer than a second, but Anna digresses about the topic. Instead, she opens up the comforter cocoon to let Elsa onto the bed and then closes the box on her prey. Unaware of what’s happening in the dark of the room, it’s Anna’s perfect chance to kiss Elsa back, but she waits. Only when Elsa has gotten herself comfortable under the weight of Anna, her arms holding onto the girl while Anna lays her head on her chest, does Anna make a very slow and careful move.
One of her hands, lightly brushing against Elsa’s arm like her other hand, moves up to cradle the back of Elsa’s neck when Anna raises herself to find Elsa’s mouth. Her lips discover her chin and then Elsa’s lower lip before quickly seizing in on the kiss. Elsa completely froze the moment Anna’s hand made its ascent, but after a moment of adjusting to the girl’s kiss, her hold on Anna’s waist tightens and she starts to desperately kiss back. It surprises Anna at first that this is Elsa’s reaction after she had just freaked out about kissing her. Then Elsa’s hands scatter, rubbing up and down Anna’s back while Elsa’s dominance over the kiss pulls her in deep to the over-sensuality that comes with experiencing this in the dark.
The way Elsa’s breath has erratically changed to be shallow pants, close to Anna’s own nervous shallow breath, and how Anna could feel Elsa’s heartbeat against her chest. It thumps fast and strong against Anna’s own racing pulse. Thinking about this, she can also feel her face getting extremely hot. She quickly forgets to remember how strange this is and gives in to the new feelings. Storms really can be wonderful…
_______________________________________________________________
The ceiling light coming on rudely wakes Elsa from a thoroughly exhausted sleep. Squinting one eye open just to debate whether it’s worth getting up, her gaze catches on the dark ginger hair messily sprawled over her exposed chest and both eyes go wide. She’s careful not to sit up too quickly, but she props herself up on one elbow to pull her shirt down from where the hem rests on her collarbone.
Once she does, Elsa stares down at Anna, sleeping so peacefully on her bare abdomen. All of the events of last night come crashing into her thoughts, the last of them putting a hot blush on her face. Then she looks over at the curtained window, unable to see through the fabric, but able to hear the sounds of early birds chirping. She has no idea what time it could be and her phone is buried in her pocket, probably dead by now. There’s no way she’s going to risk waking Anna up.
If last night wasn’t a dream, she wants to draw out the time until she would have to talk with Anna about it. It was definitely Anna who kissed her the second time, right? Gosh, her thoughts feel as blurry as her tired eyes. With a huff, Elsa lets her arms slide down the blanket and lets her head fall back into the pillows. What is she going to say?
Elsa had repressed these feelings horribly without consequence until last night. After the slip-up, she went and cried in the bathroom until pulling herself together with the thought: “whatever just happened, Anna needs support right now. She can’t be alone in a storm like this.” So, when Anna kissed her without any warning, everything else just moved faster than she was ready for. Years worth of desires… Are they finally reciprocated?
Again, Elsa looks down at Anna, the girl’s freckled features obscured with hair. She nervously pulls a few strands of hair away from her face, exposing pieces of her neck as well and a dark bite mark between her neck and shoulder. A regretful grimace crosses her face remembering this moment like a flashback.
The rest of Anna is covered by the comforter, but slight exposure of her sister’s shoulders suggests she isn’t wearing much underneath. Casting a glance over to the floor, further evidence is shown with both of their collective pants lying beside the bed.
How could everything have moved so quickly? She doesn’t remember speaking more than a few words once it started and none of it explained how it happened. Elsa knows Anna likes to tease her because of her flustered reaction, but nothing she ever did genuinely suggests she actually felt the same. Maybe she was just better at hiding it? Maybe she didn’t know at first…? No, that’s too hopeful. But then, what?
Anna gives a soft sigh, rousing Elsa from her thoughts. The sleepy girl picks up her head and stares tiredly at Elsa, a smile slowly growing on her face. Then, like her hard drive just booted up, her face turns into that of excitement. She squirms a bit out of the blanket to sit up and look down at Elsa, who tries to keep her eyes on her sister’s face.
“Good morning. Some storm last night, huh?”

Read @ AO3 | Chapter 1
Jyn stumbles with her words, how in the hell was she to guess that the actual Cassian Andor was in a dating app? “Uh, hi,” is all she manages to get out. Then she shakes her head quickly, “I’m Jyn from the app, you gave me your number.”
“Ah, I was wondering if you would ever call.”
She can hear the smile on his voice. “I – uh, I was terribly busy.” It’s not a lie, but also helps that she had to make up her mind. For someone who was so intent in unmasking the man, she now feels like she has egg on her face. But then again, how could she know he was real?
“Yes, I imagine that. I have some friends who are chefs, it’s a demanding life.” He sounds very understanding. “And how have you been?”
“Good, I mean, busy.” She says automatically. But then, her brain wakes up and she adds, “And how come Cassian Andor is on a matchmaking up?”
It is then that he laughs, “Well, I haven’t had any luck when it comes to dating, so I said, ‘why not?’ and made an account. But you’re still the only one to contact me, if only to try and expose a fake.”
She snorts. “Yeah, I’m not going to apologize for that.”
“And you shouldn’t.” He says firmly. “You followed your gut, and I’ve always been a believer that you have to trust your gut.”
Huh, she was not expecting that. He was far more reasonable than a celebrity would be, at least compared to some she had known in her line of work. “Thanks.” Then, she hesitated. “Listen, I’m still trying to wrap my head around you being an actual celeb, do you – uh, mind if we video chat?”
A chuckle was his answer, “Not at all, do you have something to write it down?”
“Yeah,” Luckily, she’s sitting at her desk and she has an assortment of pens and notepads. “When you’re ready.”
“I’m on skype, it’s Jeron2.0 – yes, very original I know. Cap on the ‘j’. What’s yours?”
“Stardust.Erso, with caps on the s and e. And before you ask, it was my dad who called me stardust.” As she speaks, she turns the laptop on and logs in and adds Cassian to her contacts. “I’m on skype now, just added you.”
“Give me a sec.” She hears him fumble with something, and muttering quietly in Spanish. And then, “I’m in and I’m adding you back. So… see you in a bit?”
“Yeah,” She’s thankful that for once, her make up is still intact. There’s no need for her to make the wrong impression right of the bat. A few seconds later, they connect. And there, on the other side of the screen is Cassian. And he’s smiling at her and she feels her heart skip a beat. “Hey, nice seeing you.”
His smile widens, “Likewise.”
And that is how it really starts. For her, it’s strange having a celebrity on her contacts, most of the ones she’s known, it’s due to her work and that was still on them employer-employee line and there were certainly not any sort of crossing. And they somehow manage to talk for an hour that first time, the next call lasts nearly as long.
“…and so I had to lie to my make up artist and said I was getting laid.” He stops and the sighs. “She probably thinks that I’m a weirdo.”
She can’t help it. She laughs, because it’s really funny that he was so excited about getting that movie role. “That’s hilarious.”
“Well, I’m very glad you think so.”
But she discovers that Cassian is easy to talk. It feels strange, at first, having someone to talk who isn’t Bodhi or Chirrut or Baze who can sit quietly and let her talk. Who pays attention and asks questions about her. She’s not so callous as to only talk about herself, she hears him talk about his work. About the ups and downs and how mentally exhausting it all can be.
“And let me tell you, that director is a monster and I refuse to work with him again. He’s a tyrannical asshole.”
“Sounds awful. I’m sorry you had to deal with that.” And she is, she’s had bosses who believed themselves lords of the kitchen and a single thing done their wrong would result in getting yelled face to face. “But you were awesome in that role, I must say.”
She has no experience on that, but she offers her sympathy and rants alongside him. They exchange texts almost daily, they talk whenever possible – as long as Cassian’s schedule permits, that is – and they are now friends on instagram too, she had already followed his public one, but now she has his finsta. Once, even he had sent her a video tour of his newest movie set. And she likes that little peak at celebrity life that he allows her to see.
One time, as they talk, he tells her, “You know, I considered a music career once.”
That catches her attention, “I didn’t know you could sing?”
She watches as he bursts in laughter, and she likes the way his eyes sparkle even on her screen. “I can’t. That’s the thing. I’m a better dancer than singer.”
“Yes,” It’s her turn to laugh. “I did see you in ‘Dancing Queen’, you were pretty good. Looked quite professional.”
He laughs again. “You have no idea just how much I practiced for that movie, but I had fun making, not going to lie.”
“How’s this one going, it’s a what? Horror?”
“Yeah, it’s fun. For the most part, I don’t quite like being sticky with fake blood.”
“Ohh is one of those movies.”
“Yeah,” he sighs. “But I liked the script. And it’s a challenge for me, I want to open myself to more genres of films. Why not start with horror? You know, just… jumping into the deep.”
“And what is something you’d like to do?”
“Historical could be fun. Never made one, and it would be interesting in just walking around in period clothing.”
She snorts, “Didn’t take you for someone who likes fashion.” He has always looked impeccable on the red carpet and photoshoots, but she has seen paparazzi pictures and his looks have been comfortable. Like a regular guy in jeans and shirt.
“I’m not,” he laughs. “But c’mon, those period pieces look great. Oh shit, Jyn, I have to go, my assistant’s glaring at me, it seems that we have to return to filming. Talk to you soon.”
“Yeah, go. Off to work. Bye.”
“Bye.” He hangs up and she can’t help but to laugh again. She had met his assistant, Kay, once and it had nearly ended in a virtual fight. Apparently, Kay was very protective of Cassian and he didn’t trust her at all. Not that she could blame him, she was new to Cassian’s circle, but it galled.
Shaking her head, she put her phone away. Maybe she should write? That way she could take away her mind of Cassian, if only for a little while. Because now, she finds that he has been rounding her head quite a bit and well… it’s slightly worrisome.
“And how’s your book coming along?”
She sighs. “I have the worst writer’s block that I’ve ever experienced.” She waits for him to say anything about writer’s block being only in her head. But when only a ‘Mmmh’ comes, she frowns. “I just don’t know what to do.”
“How about this,” he speaks slowly, as if he were measuring his words. “Why don’t you take a few days off of writing – wait don’t hang up yet! – and do something that you normally wouldn’t do.”
Her frown deepens. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, miss Erso, that I think you need to refill your creative well. Listen, it also happens to me. I’m not a writer, but sometimes I feel like quitting, so I do something I would normally wouldn’t do and rest and recharge. I feel much better afterwards.”
“Any suggestions?”
“Painting, pottery.”
Huh, she’d never given that much thought. “That came quite quickly to you.”
A chuckle. “Yeah, I did pottery once. I’m terrible at it, before you ask. But it was a fun activity, I still have the crappy plate I made. And painting? Well, my mom used to paint, and she always said that you could always be terrible, but someone out there, would like it.”
She doesn’t coo, but she damn near does. It’s heartwarming listening to him talk about his mom. That’s something they have in common, their undying love for their mothers. “You know what? I’m going to do it.”
“That’s the spirit! Let me know how it goes.”
“I will. Listen I have to go.”
“Got it, see you soon Jyn.”
“Bye Cass.” Because yes, they’ve progressed into her calling him ‘Cass’. And she hangs up, but as soon as she does, she goes into google and finds the nearest pottery workshop closest to her.
She takes a class, finds herself enjoying it and she ends with a halfway decent mug. She feels both relaxed and accomplished. She snaps a picture of the mug, posts it on her instagram and tags Cassian. And if her heart skips a beat when he answers with a ‘Go Jyn!’ and a heart emoji, well… no one needed to know.

Caught in his web, Chapter 54
‘Sit… Good boy. So clever. Here’s a treat.’
Chloe gave Bear a treat, his favourite. It was cheese flavoured.
‘I thought you were talking to Loki for a minute there.’ David chuckled, entering the kitchen.
Chloe looked up and laughed. ‘I think even Loki would do it for cheese, to be honest. Maybe not cheesy dog treats, but it might be worth trying actual cheese.’ She shrugged.
‘I would pay to see you try.’ David laughed and crouched down to pet Bear, who had went bounding over to him excitedly.
‘I’d pay myself to try.’ Chloe grinned.
‘How’s his training going? And I mean Bear, not Loki.’ David chuckled.
‘Really good. He’s a quick learner.’ Chloe called Bear to her and showed off some of his obedience tricks. ‘We’re going to obedience class next week, get him socialised.’
‘Hmm, I think Loki should maybe go to socialisation classes too.’
They both burst out laughing again. Just as Loki walked in.
‘What’s so funny?’ He asked, petting Bear.
‘Nothing.’ Chloe said innocently, smirking.
Loki raised an eyebrow and glared at her, then looked at David. ‘I don’t like it, you two seem like you’re up to something.’ He hummed.
‘Us? Never?’ David scoffed, leaning against the counter. ‘We were just discussing how it might be worthwhile sending you to obedience and socialisation classes with Bear.’ David couldn’t stop grinning.
Chloe sniggered at the look on Loki’s face. He folded his arms over his chest and glared at them both.
‘Oh come on, Loks. Lighten up. Chloe will give you a bit of cheese if you smile.’ He teased.
Loki pointed at him. ‘You’re going to get a smack if you keep this up.’ He growled at him.
But Chloe saw a hint of a smile on Loki’s lips.
Chloe spent the day lounging around at home, while Loki went into the office with David, since it was the weekend. Finding she couldn’t stop eating junk food the entire day while she played around with Bear and did plenty of training with him.
When Loki returned, he told her to get changed because he was taking her out. He wouldn’t tell her where, but she went and got changed anyway, putting on a nice dress and her charm bracelet he got her.
Ethan offered to puppy sit for the evening while Loki took Chloe out.
She was pleasantly surprised when she learned it was a date night. She was also pleasantly surprised that he didn’t shove anything up her ass while they were going out. So she could enjoy it properly for a change. Though deep down, she didn’t overly mind when he decided to spice things up a bit…
Loki took her to the cinema, there was a new film out that she had shown interest in going to see. Loki obliged when she wanted to order a large coke and an extra-large popcorn. She grumbled at him when he suggested it was to share, he wasn’t going to allow her to eat it all herself.
Halfway through the film, Loki’s hand that was resting on her knee started to sneakily slide upwards under her dress. She squirmed and tried to clamp her thighs shut tightly, but Loki growled at her in warning and managed to get his hand in there.
She kept stuffing her mouth with popcorn, trying to distract herself from the skilful fingers that were currently down her knickers and touching her in all the right places.
He leaned over, his breath against her ear made her shiver. ‘Keep quiet, doll. Wouldn’t want anyone to hear the sweet sounds of you cumming, now would we?’ He teased and grazed his teeth against her earlobe.
Chloe struggled to keep quiet, she was so used to Loki making her scream and howl the house down, not having to refrain from making a noise. She had to bite on her hand to try and distract herself as Loki’s long fingers delved deep into her, curling nicely against her g spot while his thumb went crazy on her clit.
‘Easy, doll.’ Loki cooed quietly as she trembled and came, whimpering. But she managed to muffle it against her hand, making him chuckle softly. Luckily there was a loud action scene in the movie so it helped muffle her out more too.
‘Good girl.’ Loki purred, pressing a kiss to the side of her head as he removed his hand. He sucked his fingers clean, winking at her as she gazed at him in a bit of a dream.
She struggled to focus on the movie afterwards.
Once the movie was finished, Loki took Chloe out for dinner. The same place they went when he had her wear the vibrating butt plug. And judging by the smirk on his face and wiggle of his eyebrows, he was thinking about that very time too.
‘Comfortable?’ Loki asked, smirking as they looked through the menu.
Chloe snorted. ‘Yeah. Much better than last time.’ She blushed a little and kept her eyes down at her menu.
After having starters and main course, Chloe took a look at the dessert menu.
‘You’re not having dessert.’ Loki said, but with a smirk.
‘Why not?’
‘You’ve already had two courses.’ Loki chuckled.
‘Yeah but I didn’t get last time since someone had shoved a certain’ she cut off quickly when the waiter appeared to take her order for dessert.
Loki put his hand over his mouth to hide his laughter. He shook his head when the waiter asked if he wanted anything.
Chloe cleared her throat. ‘As I was saying… Last time we were here, I didn’t get the chance to have dessert because I had something uncomfortable up my ass!’ She said quietly.
Loki grinned wickedly and leaned over the table towards her. ‘Admit it, you love it.’ He purred.
‘I wouldn’t say I love it.’ She mumbled, sipping her wine.
When Chloe’s hot chocolate cake with cream arrived, Loki’s eyes widened as he eyed it up, licking his lips.
‘You got this to share, yes?’ He picked up his spoon and reached out towards it.
‘No, no, no. You said you didn’t want dessert.’ Chloe pulled it out of his reach and started wolfing it down, moaning in delight because it tasted SO good.
Loki narrowed his eyes and clenched his jaw while he watched her eating it. She deliberately teased him, taking her time for a while and licking the spoon clean after every bite.
‘Mmm, mmm, mmm. You don’t know what you’re missing.’ She grinned.
There was about a third left and she decided to take pity on Loki. Knowing she would get it later if she really did keep it from him. She slid the plate into the middle of the table. ‘Go on then, you can have some.’
Loki didn’t take any risks and quickly stabbed into it.
‘Oh… oh god, that IS good.’ He reached in for more, but Chloe pulled it out of his reach again with a big grin.
‘It sure is… That’s why you’re not getting anymore.’ She almost burst out laughing at the look of pure horror and insult on his face.
‘You are in SO much trouble when we get home.’ He growled, his eyes started twinkling with mischief.

Nine Percent 3rd Year Anniversary Scenario
Tumblr media
Yes, yes, I know, it's been 3 days since their actual 3rd year anniversary. Yes, I had a brainfart and knew that I forgot something and didn't realise until late at night (like 10pm or 11pm). But hey, better late than never, right? RIGHT?! (My inner self: funny). Anyways, I wish them all nothing but the best for both their career and personal life. May they be able to do whatever they want and not be judged or be commented anything negative. Alright", scenario time!!
Pics are from: @ninepercent._.forever on Instagram
Cai Xukun
Tumblr media
A.N: yes, yes, finally got some more soft pics uwu, thanks Aliya, okie" scenario
I imagine that you were rushing to get this limited edition record/album from your local music shop because not only was it limited edition, but the artist also signed them personally and not the ones where they just copy 1 signature for all the copies but they actually signed them with a pen and all but no one knew about it because they just came out with it but you were lucky because you had a friend working at the music store. You immediately texted your friend, telling them to keep one for you as you were now rushing out the door in your hoodie and sweats with sandals.
Upon arriving, you were wondering where your friend was since you just wanted to pay for the album and leave. You quickly texted your friend which they mentioned that they had to run a few errands for a bit since it was exactly lunchtime when you came.
Sighing, you decided to just look around but stopped at your tracks when you saw none other than Cai Xukun, the very artist whose album you asked your friend to keep. Not wanting him to notice what a mess you look, you hid behind the shelves and peeked through, observing what he was doing. It wasn't until Kun suddenly called you out that you completely blew your cover.
"You know, I'm not that scary to approach" Kun blurted, not moving his gaze away from the albums
"I--I'm sorry, I didn't mean to st-stalk you. It's just that, I'm a fan and I'm waiting for my friend, they work here and I've asked them to keep one of your albums that you personally sign and, what am I even saying?!" you blabbed, covering your face with your hands and hoodies
"I can sign it specifically for you, if you'd like" Kun smiled, looking up to face you
"Oh my, yes, umm, thank you so very much" you blurted, bowing at him
"Relax. You don't have to bow. C'mere, we can take a picture as well :)" Kun exclaimed, nudging you to go there
and let's just say, you and Kun had a nice lil chat after your little meetup session whilst waiting for your friend to come back. You also made a lil note to thank your friend for leaving
Chen Linong
Tumblr media
For this one, I imagine that you, Nongnong and some old school friends were going on a road trip together and stayed in an Airbnb. During the first night, you were supposedly sleeping with your friend (girl) but that night, you guys just finished watching a horror/thriller movie (which you just cuddle up in Nong's arms since you were terrified, if you actually like watching horror, just pretend that this one terrified you quite a bit). After the movie, you couldn't really sleep and it was already nearly 3 in the morning that you went out of your room and to the kitchen to grab a light snack and heard some footsteps.
Scared, you unconsciously grabbed the kitchen knife and turned around to face the person that crept up on you; which turns out to be Nongnong. He immediately held his hands up in defeat but the same time chuckling on why are you holding a kitchen knife. You shyly admitted to him that you couldn't sleep because of the movie you watched; it also didn't help that your friend sometimes talks in their sleep.
Humming, Nongnong asked if you didn't mind sleeping with him. He said that he'll definitely make sure that you'll be asleep before he sleeps and he also suggested that you guys watch some cartoon. Since you and Nongnong have known each other for years and occasionally have sleepovers (of course in different rooms), you didn't mind sleeping with him since back in high school, you had a trip and you slept on his shoulder whilst being on the bus.
Because you were also quite tired and really wanted some rest, you agreed and the both of you went to Nongnong's room. Nongnong then allowed you to sleep on whichever side of the bed as he grabbed his iPad and opened your favourite cartoon. In a matter of a few episodes, you were finally asleep and Nongnong tucked you in before patting your head and sleeping as well.
In the next morning, you woke up surprisingly well. You didn't know if it's because you were watching cartoons with Nongnong or that it was just Nongnong in general making you safe. You decided to head to the kitchen to grab something to drink but then your friends teased you to call your "boyfriend" out to have breakfast all together.
You then blushed and head back to the room, seeing Nongnong yawning as he sat on the bed, asking you if you had a good night sleep which you nodded and told him that the others are waiting for you both to have breakfast.
"Did you have a good night sleep (Y/N)?" Nongnong asked, still yawning
"Y-yea, I owe you Nong, thank you" you stuttered, looking away
"Oi, lovebirds!! Hurry up or you won't have any breakfast" your friends teased
"Let's not keep them waiting shall we sweetie?" Nongnong commented, getting up and stretching
"Wh-what?" you mumbled
"Oh, I thought you already know that I like you since I know that you like me" Nongnong mentioned
"Wh-what?! When?! Wh-when did I?! OH NO!!" you blabbed, covering your blushing face
"In your sleep, last night, right before I fell asleep. There's nothing to be shy about. I like you too (Y/N) <3, let's go eat!!" Nongnong exclaimed, grabbing your hand and dragging you out of the room
Fan Chengcheng
Tumblr media
For this one, I imagine that you and Chengcheng were friends in high school. You knew him since back in junior high and while your first impression of him wasn't all that good since you thought he'd be a spoiled brat since he came from a wealthy family and the younger brother of one of the country's famous actress. But as it turns out, he was very hardworking despite not paying that much attention in class.
A/N: let's rewind a bit how you both got close
You were stuck as his lab partner for a whole year back in junior high which at first you didn't really want to since you knew he didn't pay attention in class that much and you'd worry that in the end, you'd have to do all the job while he just gets the credit. But nope, big mistake.
As soon you were paired up, Chengcheng didn't waste time asking for your contact after school and told you that you guys should stay at the library after school on the day of your lab so you can get the job done that day as well. Now, to say you were amazed was an understatement. You were practically impressed that Chengcheng understood most of the job and even concluded the paper.
But one time, you guys had to stay at the library till late at night and Chengcheng even ordered food the minute he heard your stomach grumble (cue you being embarrassed). Afterwards, you guys just talk over things like your likes and dislikes and Chengcheng even brought you home up till your doorstep. Ever since, the both of you have been inseparable. Well, that is until Chengcheng said he had to leave to join Idol Producer.
It was rough. He wasn't able to contact you since his phone was taken from him. However, you did try your best to send actual letters to him which surprisingly, he received and even send you back some letters as well. You wouldn't admit it but you miss him and actually have a crush on him. You were going to tell him but when he actually made it into 9%, you knew you wouldn't be able to stand a chance against all the other female artists so, you texted Cheng, saying your congratulations and the same time cut off your friendship, to the point you even blocked his number. You couldn't deal with heartbreaks because it was just too much and you really wanted Chengcheng to focus on his career.
Unfortunately, the past few days were not easy for you. It was very painful, especially seeing how happy Chengcheng was in L.A. You're sad and wasn't focused on school at all. But one Saturday morning changed everything for you. You had never been so thankful to be awake so early in the morning until this day.
It's been 2 weeks since you cut your friendship and any sort of communication with Chengcheng and during those 2 weeks, your sleep schedule was a mess to the point that today, you slept at 1 and suddenly woke up at 5(ish) in the morning. You twist and turn yet you still couldn't sleep. Eventually, it was 6 in the morning and you decided to just get up and have an early morning walk to clear your mind.
You got changed and pulled on your favourite coat (which was actually one of Chengcheng's but you forgot) and head out to walk around your neighbourhood. Until you stumble upon a familiar stair walk. It was one where you and Chengcheng hung out after you finished your report and heading back home. The memory caught you off-guard that tears started to stream down your face and you tried your best to wipe them until a familiar voice startled you.
"Are you crying because of stress because finals are in a month or because you haven't seen me in so long? Because I sure as hell miss talking to you, too" a familiar voice exclaimed
"OMO, Ch-cheng?! FAN CHENGCHENG?!" you blurted, whipping your head to see Chengcheng just a few flights below you
"I miss you too (Y/N). It was tough not being able to talk to you through those 4 months and even when I was in L.A." Chengcheng mumbled, walking towards you
"I--I'm sorry Cheng. I didn't want to interfere with your life. I know that you've wanted to become an idol/artist and I know I wouldn't exactly match the people you'll be hanging out, I--" you blabbled until Chengcheng pulled you into a hug, patting your head
"I don't care. Sure, I may meet lots of new people. But no one can replace you. Plus, who am I going to take with me to night markets when I'm hungry and take pretty pictures together with? Of course, that's you!! I wouldn't switch you for anyone or anything in the world. I don't care that you blocked my number because I can always put in my numbers again. So please, don't leave me. Now, let's go have breakfast, hmm?" Chengcheng grinned, pulling away from the hug, smiling as he tucked a hair behind my ear, caressing my cheek in the process
Justin Huang
Tumblr media
aFor this, Imma do something slightly different than previous Justin scenarios. So, I'm going to imagine that you're Justin's senior back in primary school. Justin has a vivid memory of what you did for him (which was standing up to the bullies) but you didn't remember him that well since you had a 2 (almost 3) year gap.
*Also, let's say that you were in campus (3rd year) whilst Justin had just turned 19
You were just trying to have a nice "normal" day in school since finals were just right around the corner. Everything was going so well and finals were not bad at all. It was the studying process that was annoying to you because your dorm were filled with either parties or gossips all in the halls whilst the library of your campus was always hogged by random people (like hello? are you here to study or to live here?). Anyways, lucky for you, a small studying cafe just opened near your dorm and so you decided to just stay there and study.
The past few days were nice. The cafe was calm and everyone was either actually studying or chatting (but they weren't loud and unreasonable like those in campus). Until one time, there was this boy, looked like he's in his teens and forgot his wallet to pay since it seemed that his phone ran out of battery. Because the drink was already being made, he couldn't exactly cancel or anything. Sighing, you got up and decided to pay for the boy who turned to bow at you, thanking you. Until the boy looked up and immediately recognised you.
"Eh?! JIEJIE?! It's me!! Just....uhhh, how bout we sit down and talk" Justin softly exclaimed, grabbing you and went to sit back at your table
After a bit of talking, you were taken aback that the boy/junior you helped back then was now this handsome tall young man. The both of you talked quite a lot since it has been years since you last saw each other. The two of you exchanged contacts and Justin proposed that you'd meet up again since he was in town for a few weeks.
But that plan somewhat backfired since Justin couldn't wait to see you again so he just straight up went to meet you since you told him where you lived. Instead of being a "brat" like most kids his aged, he was very polite with your parents, telling them that whilst he was younger, he'll protect you and bring you back before 10pm.
It was nice to catch up with Justin. You realised how mature he is for his age and even had to miss out on normal teen stuff like going out with friends, struggling with assignments and finals together. But Justin said that while he does feel sad for missing out on lots of things, he said that he loves what he does and he learnt so much.
Everything was going well with the both of you until Justin's sasaengs finds out about you. Some made fake accounts, threatening you to stay away from Justin. You know better than to deal with those immatures so you just blocked them from your social media and went on with your life.
But damn the universe is testing you because some of the sasaengs actually go to the same campus as you do. The first few meetings with them were still manageable. But they aren't called sasaengs for nothing. Because it slowly escalated and things got more physical to the point you started to distance yourself from Justin.
But Justin noticed your change in behaviour. He was so fed up one day that he went all the way to your campus to figure out what has made you like this. He didn't care about the amount of ppl suddenly paying attention to him because all he cared about was finding you; which he found you exactly when the sasaengs attacked.
Immediately, he didn't waste any time and called mama Ting, telling him about the sasaengs and have him report them to the police or something. Justin then immediately called out the sasaengs, threatening them and telling everyone who was watching to never bully anyone ever again; regardless of the reasoning.
Justin then took you out of your campus and to the cafe where you guys first reconnect again. He apologised for getting you involved in this mess but the same time that he doesn't want to be separated from you; adding that he'll always be there like you did when you were young.
"Jie, why didn't you tell me? I know you're strong enough to take care of yourself. Heck!! You helped me back in primary school!! I grew up, getting stronger so one day when we meet again, you wouldn't think of me as a whimp" Justin exclaimed
"I never thought of you as a whimp, Justin. But sometimes, you just need an extra hand" you replied
"Look who's talking? But I'm serious jie. Please tell me whenever this happens. I'll show no mercy!!" Justin boasted
"Ya!! Just because you're famous and all, you shouldn't be like, especially towards women" you complained
"Hehehe, it's not that. It's just that ppl should get what they deserve. Anyways, I'm hungry, let's eat!! My treat!!" Justin exclaimed
Lin Yanjun
Tumblr media
Help, I miss Yanjun so much :(( but for reals though, I don't want to pressure him or complain much because honestly, I can somewhat understand him since I'm an introvert too. Alright, I don't want to give off this negative energy so let's jump into the scenario :)
Alright, for this I'll imagine that you're visiting Yanjun who's in Taiwan because he was taking some rest. Honestly, you were quite nervous since you had never been to Taiwan and met Yanjun from work (this is a story for another time). One of the main reasons why you were nervous is because you were going to meet his parents and even spend your time living with him and his family when you don't really know their culture that well.
But honestly, there was nothing to worry about since Yanjun's parents heard nothing but good things from both Yanjun and even Zhangjing (since you were quite close with Zhangjing). When you arrived, you tried your best to be polite even though you were very awkward and stuttered a lot. But when Yanjun's sister came, she helped make you feel at home and ease despite being slightly younger than you.
Within hours, you and Yanjun's sister became close and she even shared some embarrassing moments of Yanjun to you (which Yanjun found out and deal with his siter later on). And within days, Yanjun's parents showed no signs of disliking you at all. Instead, you and his mom actually went to the market a few times together and even cooked together.
Time skip to a few days before you have to go back to your country
Yanjun's parents thought that it was a good idea for both you and Yanjun to go out, just the both of you since you had been spending so much time with his family and rarely went out with just Yanjun for a whole day. So, they set things up and made sure that it would just be the two of you; they even went as far as letting Yanjun use the car.
Yanjun already knew where he would take you; the ocean (one of his favourite places to be). When you arrived, you wasted no time and getting out of the car, taking off your shoes and running on the sand, barefeet; which of course, Yanjun chuckled whilst taking pictures of you.
The two of you left your shoes by the rocks so they wouldn't get taken by the ocean and walked hand in hand along the shoreline. Stopping right where the sun was setting and just lean on each other, enjoying the moment, until you noticed your shoes were getting taken by the ocean. You immediately rushed to get your shoes; forgetting that you couldn't really swim that well.
Eventually, Yanjun caught up with you and held you back, reminding you that you couldn't quite swim. Chuckling, he took off his jacket and handed it to you before going towards the ocean to get your shoes.
"Jun...be careful!!" you exclaimed
"I'll be fine (Y/N). You should be careful. I wouldn't want you to get wet and sick later on" Yanjun reminded you
"Hmm. OH!! You got it!! Thank you so much!!" you giggled, jumping a bit
"Hey, hey, be careful!!" Yanjun reminded as you jumped to hug him
"You know, you're similar to the ocean. You're as cool, calm and collective when you need to but the same time you're there whenever people needs you just like how humans need water. You also help people calm down when they feel frustrated. You make me feel safe. You make me relax when I feel nervous" you blurted, hugging Yanjun tightly as you inhaled his scent
"(Y/N)..." Yanjun muttered
"Which makes me confused why would you choose a child-like, hard-headed, weirdo..." you mumbled, but Yanjun shut you up by pecking your lips
"Because, isn't that how magnet works? Opposites attract each other. Though I'd say that we are quite similar in the hard-headed side but at least we're willing to tone that down. But for reals, while I make you calm, you make me excited. You burst me up. You're like a happy pill and I'm addicted to you. Now, let's head back, mom and dad made hotpot for dinner. C'mon, I'll carry you whilst you just hold onto our shoes" Yanjun chuckled as you went on his back, leaning on him whilst talking about where you guys should have a date next
Zhu Zhengting
Tumblr media
For mama Ting, I imagine that you have this upcoming show which was your first live stage show. And while you were just a backup dancer, you were still one of the best dancers in Yuehua despite only being hired for a couple of months.
You were so excited and can't wait since you've been practicing very hard the past few days, along with helping Zhengting since he asked you to be his dancing partner for his new mv that's coming out in a month. Speaking of Zhengting, it was him that actually recommended you to Yuehua and him that got you hired in the first place.
Anywho, it was finally showtime and you had just finished getting ready with the rest of the backup dancers. And ofc, you, along with the other backup dancers helped kill the show that the crowd was cheering loudly.
After the show was over, you all took pictures with the artist and a few individual pictures before the stage manager called it a wrap. You then went to go get changed when Zhengting texted you, asking to meet up in the dance practice room you guys normally used.
You told him that you just finished changing and will be there in 10 minutes. Upon arriving, you looked around to find Zhengting and was shocked when he softly called you out whilst holding a boquet of flowers.
"Ting? What's all this? Are you gonna meet up with someone?" you questioned, tilting your head slightly "This is for you!! Congratulations on your first live stage performance!!" Zhengting mentioned, handing you the flowers
"Ahhh, isn't this a bit too much? I was just a backup dancer anyways..." you muttered, looking down at the flowers, avoiding Zhengting's gaze
"Well, you won't be for long. I want you to dance with me, live. Roughly a month or two after the mv comes out. If you don't mind that is" Zhengting asked, scratching his head
"Wh, what? Are you serious?! Like legit? Not joking?! Cause if you're serious then ofc I would love to!!" you exclaimed
"Re-really?! Oh I feel so relieved. I was afraid you'd reject me. I mean my offer. I uhhhh...." Zhengting stuttered
"Relax. I'd never reject your offer. Or even you, Ting. You helped me get this far. Plus, I think I'd be the one to worry if you'd reject me..." you mumbled, fiddling with your fingers
"What?! No, why would I ever reject you, (Y/N). You're pretty, smart, talented, kind. You're an amazing person. If you don't believe me then let's go have dinner, I know you must be starving, c'mon, my treat!!" Zhengting mentioned, grabbing you and dashing off to eat hotpot
Wang Ziyi
Tumblr media
For Ziyi, I imagine that you guys were spending the day to the amusement park that was near the beach as well. So, the plan was for you both to go to the amusement park as soon as it opens and ride as much rides as possible before 4pm then head to the beach and jusy chill till dinner time.
You were so excited since it's been so long since you went to an amusement park and beach. Now, the reasoning why you chose this specific amusement park wasn't just because it was right beside the beach. But also where you and Ziyi got to actually know each other.
Let's rewind a bit shall we
So, you guys were high school friends and one time your squad wanted to go to the amusement park so ofc, you joined in. But what you didn't know was that Ziyi (the school's best basketball player) and his squad were also joining (mainly because 2 of his friends and 2 of yours were dating).
Anyways, the whole day wasn't that bad until sometime before you all decided to leave for the beach, your friends sorta ditched you; even when you tried to text/call them. Now, you were left right by the food stands, sitting on one of the benches whilst waiting for any news you get from your friends.
But it wasn't just you that was "ditched" by your friends. Because not long after, Ziyi came and sat beside you, asking if you were also "ditched" by your friends to which you chuckled, telling him that they must've went on other rides. But you were actually grateful that they did. Because now, you were Ziyi's close friend.
To present time
After riding on several rides, you guys went to have lunch at the nearby food court before going back and playing the rides up until it was almost sundown.
Realising what time it was, you asked Ziyi if there were anymore rides he wanted to go on which he shook his head and instead, asked you if you wanted to go on anymore rides. To which you also shook your head. Ziyi then asked if you wanted to go to the beach which u instantly nodded.
But as you guys were walking, you saw a small food stand, selling one of your favourite snacks to the point you instantly rushed over to the food stall and grab some food, nudging Ziyi to hurry and come choose what he wants.
"Ziyi!! Hurry up!! Choose which one you want!!" you called out
"I'm coming (Y/N), don't buy too much things. We need room for dinner" Ziyi chuckled, rushing to your side
"I will always have room for dinner!! Food is life!!" you exclaimed, as you choose your snacks while Ziyi looked at you and chuckled
Xiao Gui
Tumblr media
For Xiaogui, let's say that you guys have been friends since young and he would always be there for you since he's always so hyper while you were so shy in making friends.
Throughout your school life till high school, Xiao gui has always been there to help you make new friends and study (ocassionally). Not to mention, you were the one to come up with his nickname, Xiao Gui. But unfortunately he had to leave to join idol producer. But that never stopped you guys from sending each other letters/text (when he got his phone).
Time skip to your university graduation
While Xiao gui was busy with his idol life since he debutted in 9%, you were busy with school and now, after so long, you were finishing your degree.
After the ceremony and getting your actual degree, you and your friends were heading to take pictures. But as you were taking pictures, your friends told you to stay there for a bit whilst they go grab a quick drink.
But as your friends left, you saw a familiar figure, holding a boquet of flowers, heading your way. As they got closer, you realised that it was actually Xiao Gui.
"G-gui? Is that you? What are you doing here? Don't you have an event or something to attend?" you asked in shock
"Of course I do. It's your graduation. You didn't think I'd miss this out now did you? Look at you, dressed up like this. Last time I saw you all dressed up was...." Xiao gui commented
"The day you debutted with the other 8 as 9%" you replied, giggling at the memory
"Yea. You were with me since the beginning even until I debut and now. I'm sorry I couldn't have come sooner but here, happy graduation (Y/N)" Xiao Gui muttered, handing you the flowers
"Th-thank you, Gui. How bout we catch up over dinner?" you mumbled
"Of course, then we can go get dessert at your favourite place!!" Xiao Gui exclaimed, holding your hand as he slowly pulled you with him
"I miss you so much, Linkai" you admitted
"I miss you too (Y/N)" Xiaogui replied, a big grin formed on his face
You Zhangjing
Tumblr media
Tbh Zhangjing's one is quite hard but I tried my best :"
Alright, for Zhangjing, I imagine that he asked you to join him to shoot for his new mv which of course you quickly agreed, not thinking twice on where, when and what is it.
You can say that it was somewhat of a mistake since the mv is a more romantic one than his previous mv(s). Not only that, on the day of the actual shoot, you were stunned on how good Zhangjing looked since he mostly wore a baggy T-shirt with sweatpants.
But this time, he dressed up so good that your mind can't comprehend. Even when it was time to shoot, your mind wondered off elsewhere until Zhangjing actually called out to you.
Thankfully, throughout the entire shoot, there were minimal errors and you didn't have to reshoot so much. And it was the final shot where both you and Zhangjing were hand in hand walking together.
Right as the camera was rolling, you were a bit distracted by the scenery of the place you were shooting that Zhangjing had to call you several times which makes you shock but Zhangjing just chuckled and extended his hand out to you which you shyly took, and as Zhangjing faced the other side, you couldn't help but blush to see this amazing view.
"(Y/N)?" Zhangjing called out
"Hmmm??? Oh sorry, the scenery was so pretty that I couldn't help but get distracted" you admitted
"It's alright, c'mon, let's just enjoy the view then" Zhangjing mentioned, extending his hand
"Hmmm. It's nice, we should go out more often" you mumbled, taking Zhangjing's hand then facing off to the scenery together
